I’m a big fan of the The Body Shop Body Butters, the creamy consistency is perfect for my very dry skin. The product leaves my skin feeling nourished, moisturized and soft. I really enjoy Special Edition Ginger scent. I normally don’t like how ginger tastes but I do like how it smells. This product straight up smells like ginger, so if you love the scent you will be obsessed! To me, it’s not too strong and smells invigorating and sweet without being overly sweet.

The Vegan The Body Shop Ginger Body Yogurt (€ 10,00 Euro/200 mL) provides up to 48 hours of moisture with a lightweight formula that absorbs instantly into the skin. This product is enriched with Ginger Root Extract from India and Community Trade Organic Almond Milk from Spain.

The ingredients list is as follows:

The The Body Shop Body Yogurts are a fairly new, which were introduced last year (review here). The gel-cream consistency feels lightweight, can be used on damp and dry skin and is absorbed immediately. Applying the body yogurt also feels very refreshing, which makes it perfect for hot, Summer days.

Compared to the body butter, the Ginger Body Yogurt‘s scent is much stronger and less creamy. The scent is too strong for me and smells less natural, but is still very zingy and refreshing. The scent does become milder over time. I think if you like strong ginger/citrus-y scents, you will love the fragrance.

The Body Shop Ginger Body Scrub

The The Body Shop Ginger Body Scrub (€18,00 Euro/250 mL) gently exfoliates the skin, leaving it feeling softer and smoother. This product is enriched with Ginger Root Extract from India and Community Trade Organic Cane Sugar from Paraguay.

The ingredients list is as follows:
Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Juglans Regia Shell Powder/Juglans Regia (Walnut) Shell Powder, Hydrated Silica, Polysorbate 20, Benzyl Alcohol, Parfum/Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hydroxide, Sucrose, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Linalool, Citral, Benzophenone-3, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Eugenol, Geraniol, PEG-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Trideceth-6, Zingiber Officinale Root Extract/Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Limonene, Denatonium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Caramel, CI 19140/Yellow 5.

The The Body Shop Ginger Body Scrub has a lightweight, gel consistency containing grains what I think is the Juglans Regia Shell Powder/Juglans Regia (Walnut) Shell Powder, which is the fourth ingredient on the list. Looking at the product while scrubbing, I personally think that the Hydrated Silicawhich is an abrasive component also used in toothpaste is more responsible for the scrub effect. I can feel the small particles when rubbing the scrub on my skin, feeling a bit like sand. Rinsing off the scrub leaves my skin feeling soft and exfoliated. The Ginger scent smells extra spicy and refreshing in this product.

The Body Shop Ginger Shower Gel

The Body Shop Ginger Shower Gel (€8,00 Euro/250 mL) instantly lathers the skin, leaving it feeling cleansed and refreshed. This product is enriched with Ginger Root Extract from India and Community Trade Organic Cane Sugar from Paraguay.

The ingredients list is as follows:
Aqua/Water/Eau, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Parfum/Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Citric Acid, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Sucrose, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Linalool, Citral, Eugenol, Benzophenone-3, Geraniol, Limonene, Zingiber Officinale Root Extract/Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Hydroxide, Caramel.

The Body Shop Ginger Shower Gel has a beautiful consistency that almost reminds me of honey, nicely foams and can easily be distributed onto the skin, leaving my skin feel refreshed and clean after use. I feel like scent is more zesty in this product, which makes it extra invigorating and refreshing in the shower.

I’m really love the The Body Shop Ginger products. The products have a great, invigorating scent for the Summer period and I personally think that the Body Butter has the most accurate, ginger scent. Like I’ve mentioned previously, if you love the smell of ginger, you will absolutely love this line.
