The weather has turned gloomy and it’s getting cold in The Netherlands. During this time of year, I always love to go to Lush and spoil myself with their new Winter Collection. There are so many different new things that it’s sometimes difficult to choose. To help you out a bit, I have a list of my personal Top 5 Favorite Lush Winter 2015 Products.
Santa’s Lipscrub
Since I love wearing matte lipsticks, I have to take care good care of my lips by using a lipscrub to keep them nice and smooth. The Lush Santa’s Lipscrub is a yearly returning item has been my favorite lipscrub for years. It tastes and smells deliciously like those gummy cola candies.
This is how Lush describes Santa’s Lipscrub:
“Prime your pout with this moisturising cola-flavoured lip scrub that leaves your lips buffed and ready for Santa Baby – or any other Lush lip tint or balm. Caster sugar, dates and cherries scrub and soften, giving them a taste of Christmas. Dab a little on and buff, licking off the excess. It’s the sweetest way to welcome festive kisses.”
Lush Santa’s Lipscrub is available for €9,95 Euro.
Lord of Misrule Shower Cream
Lord of Misrule Showercream (or Scream like it says on the bottle) scent has been a very popular among Lush fans. I only tried the bath bomb so I was excited to see that the Lord of Misrule Shower Cream was in this years Winter assortment. It’s very hard to describe the scent. I think it’s sweet but not over the top like Snow Fairy. It also smells like herbs and very typical for this time of year. I’m definitely going to stock up on this Showergel.
This is how Lush describes Lord of Misrule Shower Cream:
“A feast for the senses! Get down and earthy with this mischievous, herbal blend of patchouli, peppercorn and black pepper with an intriguing Fair Trade vanilla sweetness. As you rub this addictive lather all over the body, organic wheatgerm oil provides a nourishing dose of Vitamin E to ensure your skin is on fine (and fragrant) party form. You won’t be the fool after washing with this.”
Lush Lord of Misrule Shower Cream is available from €8,50 Euro / 100 gram.
Snowcake Soap
If you’re a fan of sweet, bakery type of scents like me, you will definitely love Snowcake Soap. It is a soap that smells straight up like Marzipan. This is also a product that makes a yearly return, I would be very sad if this wasn’t in the Winter collection each year.
This is how Lush describes Snowcake Soap:
“This shimmering sweet marzipan-scented soap makes for a creamy and comforting Christmas treat. Made with a palm-free soap base, benzoin, soothing rose and uplifting cassie absolutes, this soap creates a rich and luxurious lather. “
Lush Snowcake Soap is available from €5,95 Euro / 100 gram.
Rose Jam Showergel
Rose Jam Showergel is another yearly returning product that I have been loving for a long time. I’m usually not a fan of flower type of scents, but Rose Jam has something special. I think that the name describes the scent perfectly. If I would imagine a jam made of roses, this would definitely smell like that.
This is how Lush describes Rose Jam Showergel:
“Organic Turkish rose blends with sweet Fair Trade vanilla pod infusion from Western Uganda to lather skin in luscious, lingering scent. Nourishing argan oil treats the body to some well-deserved conditioning, while a touch of Sicilian lemon and goji berry juice cleanses and brightens. You’ve been kissed by a rose.”
Lush Rose Jam Showergel is available from €8,50 Euro / 100 gram.
Old Father Time Soap
Old Father Time Soap is (from my knowledge) a new product in this years Winter Collection. I seriously love how amazing this soap looks. It has cogwheels shapes with different colors inside the soap, and looks very rustic and old. I applaud the Lush crew on how they made this soap in such beautiful detail. I will also definitely stock up more of this soap. Again, I can’t really pinpoint on how to describe the scent of this soap. To me, it smells sweet but sophisticated and more “mature” like a perfume.
This is how Lush describes Old Father Time Soap:
“It’s the time of the year for lathering earthy and herbal fresh sage and thyme infusion with festive, juicy redcurrants over skin. This mystical soap with precious myrrh resinoid is sure to set the cogs in motion to take you from Christmas into the new year in style.”
Lush Old Father Time Soap is available from €5,95 Euro / 100 gram.
I hope my picks of the Lush Winter 2015 Products will help you with your choices. I would definitely recommend to check out the Lord of Misrule Showergel and Old Father Time Soap, since these are new (to my knowledge) and there’s a chance that they will not return for next year.
I’m still very curious about some other products, like the Santa’s Belly Shower Jelly (THERE ARE STAR GLITTERS IN THERE!!!! ♥) What are your top favorite Lush Winter products?
Cheers,
Lariesa
