L’Erbolario is an Italian brand founded in 1978 by Franco Bergamaschi together with his wife Daniela Villa, a biologist and cosmetologist who have created their first products in their Herbalist shop in the town Lodi. Nowadays, L’Erbolario is a successful and popular brand in Italy, distinguished by the high quality of natural ingredients in their products, scented without any artificial agents and offered in a bright and colorful illustrative packaging. The brand also values environmental sustainability and has always been cruelty-free.

L’Erbolario Algedetox is a skincare line that focuses on defending and purifying the skin against UV rays and other atmospheric pollutants. The highlighted ingredient of this line is Algae, which is known to be rich in anti-oxidants. Algae hydrates, softens and detoxifies the skin while also replenishing essential vitamins and minerals. There are four products available in this line, including the Algedetox Day Face Cream (€48,50 Euro/50 mL) and Cleansing Exfoliating Face Oil-Gel (€26,50 Euro/100 mL) displayed in the picture above.

Unique Fragrances

L’Erbolario has a wide range of lines available that also offers fragrances, like the Cherry Blossom (Tra i Ciliegi) Perfume (€34,00 Euro/50 mL). The fragrance is inspired by Cherry Blossom Trees in bloom. It starts with a Floral top note of Italian Bergamot, Sicilian Orange, Cherry Blossom and Italian Tangerine, followed by the Citrus middle note of Jasmine Sambac, Musk Rose and Indies Sandalwood, finishing with the Mossy base note of Vanilla, Malaysian Patchouli, Tonka bean and Moss.

High Quality Beauty Oils

L’Erbolario also offers a wide range of high-quality Beauty Oils for body, face and hair in their respective lines.

The Ambraliquida Smoothing Body Oil (€22,00 Euro/125 mL) is a beautiful mixture of Liquidambar Orientalis Extract, Pistachio Oil, Sesame Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Organic Sunflower Oil, Olive Oil and Vitamin E. Not only is this body oil perfect for a fragrant and relaxing massage, the formula nourishes, boosts tone and texture of the skins tissue while protecting the skin from environmental pollutants.

I purchased this oil and I love it so much. It makes my skin feel super silky and soft but why I love this oil especially is because of the beautiful warm and seducing fragrance.

The Absinthium for Him Beard Oil (€17,50 Euro/30 mL) is another amazing mixture of Extract of Absinthe, Tarragon Extract, Oily Genepì Extract, Avocado Oil, Safflower Oil, Shea Butter, Olive Oil, Sesame Oil, Sunflower Oil, Phytosterols and Vitamin E. This oil can be used before and after shaving to norish and soothe the skin, also making the beard softer.

I actually purchased this oil myself for my boyfriend, because he is always looking for a good beard oil. Most of the cheaper quality beard oils feel sticky but this product isn’t one of them. He has been using this product for some time and I asked him for his opinion. He really likes this product, it has a nice scent but isn’t too strong and it makes his skin and beard feel soft without breaking out his sensitive skin.

Long Lasting Home Fragrances

The last product that I wanted to mention is the Indigo Fragrance for Scented Wood Sticks (€38,90 Euro/200 mL). Indigo is one of the newer lines at L’Erbolario and I’m obsessed by the warm and woody scent, which I think is perfect as a home fragrance. The notes of the Indigo fragrance are Cocoa Powder, Egyptian Geranium, Indonesian Patchouli, Madagascar Vanilla, Indian Vetiver.

I’ve placed this product in my living room at the beginning of December last year and I have to say that the scent was really strong and gave me a headache for about two days but was perfect after that period. It might seem crazy but the fragrance is still very noticeable after two months! When I get visitors, they’re always curious and asking where the scent comes from, so that says a lot about this product. I’m absolutely in love with the fragrance and if you think that it isn’t a fit for you, don’t worry! L’Erbolario has more than ten other option in their other lines for scented wood sticks so there’s definitely a scent for everyone.
