Clinique is having an awesome Swap Event at The Bijenkorf during the weekend of 4, 5 and 6th of November. During this event, you will be able to trade a product from any other brand that you are dissatisfied with for an alternative product from Clinique! I’m going to explain all the details of the Clinique Swap Event and give you some product suggestions and recommendations!
The Clinique Swap Event is held on Fri 4th – Sun 6th of November (this weekend!) at The Bijenkorf warehouses in Amsterdam, The Hague, Eindhoven and Rotterdam. You have to register in order to join this event, which costs €25 Euro. During this event, you can get personal advice from Clinique Experts and also bring a beauty product that you’re not satisfied with from another brand. Not only do you get an alternative product from Clinique, you also get a Goodiebag worth €30 Euro! You really get more than you’re moneys worth during the event, so if you’re interested in trying out Clinique products, this is the time to do so! I’m going to show you a small selection of products Clinique offers.
Skincare
For Skincare, I would definitely recommend to try out the Clinique 3-Step Introduction Set (€34,00). The Clinique 3-Step Set consists of a Cleanser, Exfoliator and Moisturizer. I have tried this set for a month and I’m definitely noticing a beneficial effect on my skin! You can get advice during the event to discover your skin type to get the most suitable set. Also check out the Clinique Pep Start™ Eye Cream (€25,90), which gives tired looking eyes an instant lively and refreshing look.
Make-up – Base
Clinique offers several primers called the Superprimer™ Face Primers (€25,90 each), which offers several benefits depending on your skins problems. I have the Colour Corrects Dullness, a pink colored primer that corrects a dull skin, which gives the skin more radiance. I like the feeling of this primer, it has a silicone-y feeling and makes your skin look super smooth so definitely worth checking out. Clinique also has several foundations in their collection with different coverage. The Beyond Perfecting™ Foundation + Concealer (€35,50), is a full-coverage foundation that can also be used as a concealer. This foundation also offers hydration and stays put for up to 12-hours.
Make-up – Face
For easy contouring, you can try the Clinique Chubby Stick™ Sculpting Contour (€26,80) and Highlight (€26,80). With these cream products, you can easily create a natural and subtle looking contoured and highlighted effect. I really like these two products and would definitely recommend them if you’re skin tone fits the shades. The Clinique Cheek Pop™ (€26,00) is a highly pigmented blush that’s already a dream to look at. It has a beautiful flower pressed in the blush powder. Only a small amount is needed. I’m not a blush fan but I’m definitely a fan of this one.
Make-up – Eyeshadow
What I find the most popular product from Clinique are the Chubby Stick™ Shadow Tint for Eyes (€21,50 each). These were a huge rage when they first were released, because you can create a very easy eyeshadow look that stays on all day. You can also use them as a base for the rest of your eyeshadow. I like to use these as a quick pop of color on my eyelids during weekdays.
Make-up – Eyes
One of my favorite products from Clinique is the Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen (€23,00). It has a brush tip instead of a felt tip, so the product doesn’t dry out when I’m applying the liner. Also, the brush is very thin and short which makes it easy to work with. The High Impact Kajal Eyeliner (€18,00) is a very soft eyeliner which glides on your skin and can also be used on the waterline. Clinique offers a variety of mascara depending on your preferences. The High Impact™ Mascara (€24,50) gives volume but also is also lengthening for a more daring look.
Make-up – Lips
The Clinique Pop™ Lip Colour + Primer (€22,50) is a lipstick with a built-in primer that smooths and nourishes the lips. These lipsticks come in a variety of colors. A new product from Clinique is the Pop™ Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer (€22,50). This is the gloss version, which has a lot of shine and is an opaque coverage in one layer.
Here’s the complete look using all the Clinique Products that I’ve mentioned before. I started cleaning and moisturizing my face using the 3-Step Introduction Set (Type-2 skin). Then, I used the Colour Corrects Dullness Face Primer and applied the Beyond Perfecting™ Foundation + Concealer in Golden Neutral as a foundation and Ivory as a concealer. I used the Chubby Stick™ Sculpting Contour in Curvy Contour, Chubby Stick™ Sculpting Highlight in Hefty Highlight and the Cheek Pop™ in Plum Pop to give shape to my face.
For my eyes, I used the Chubby Stick™ Shadow Tint for Eyes in Fuller Fudge on my entire top and bottom lid, also blending into the crease. Then, I used the shade Big Blue blending on top of the other shade on the top eye lid and as a highlight in the inner corner. I created a winged eyeliner using the Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen in Brown and filled in the gaps and also my waterline using the High Impact Kajal Eyeliner in Brown. To finish the eyelook, I used two layers of the High Impact™ Mascara in Black on my top and bottom lashes.
For my lips, I first applied the Clinique Pop™ Lip Colour + Primer in Nude Pop and applied the Pop™ Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer in Cocoa Pop on top of the lipstick to give it a plump and luscious look.
As you can see, Clinique offers a wide variety of products. I haven’t even begun to show you the amount of products they have. Most of their products have a recommendation for the skin type so that you will be guaranteed that the products work well on your skin. All Clinique products are heavily tested for allergic reactions before ever going to the market. If there is a reaction, they will reformulate until it works. This means that their products should work on any type of skins, even the most sensitive ones.
