Bioré is a Japanese brand that has been popular in many other countries, now available in The Netherlands. This brand is known for their simple approach to battling one of the most frequent skin problems, clogged pores. I was present at the Bioré launch event, where I received a lot of information about the products and had a hands-on demonstration. I’m going to give you a summary of the Bioré event in this post.
The Bioré event was held at The Conscious Club in Amsterdam. There was an assortment of delicious sweet snacks and even pink popcorn! Bioré has two collections which focuses on either Charcoal or Baking Soda as their active ingredient. Therefore, the room was divided in two sections where you could get a demonstration and more information about the Charcoal or the Baking Soda products. Both collections basically have the same type of products to cleanse your pores, but are different in strength and have a different recommendation per skin type.
The Bioré products that contain Charcoal are recommended for people who have problems with oily skin. The Active Charcoal in these products deeply cleanses the skin of dirt, oil and blackheads. Four products were demonstrated during the event. The Deep Pore Cleanser, Pore Minimizing Scrub, Selfheating 1-Minute Mask and the Deep Cleansing Pore Strips.
I’m really curious to try out the Pore Strips and the Mask. I’ve tried the Mask on my hand, which self-heated when it came in contact with water. It was so awesome! I’m not going to elaborate in detail in this post, because there will be an upcoming review of all the products.
The Bioré products that contain Baking Soda are recommended for people who have problems with dry/combination skin. The Baking Soda in these products does not remove oils as harshly as the Charcoal products do but still cleanses the skin properly. Three products were demonstrated during the event. The Pore Cleanser, Cleansing Powder Scrub and the Deep Cleansing Pore Strips. This collection does not contain a (selfheating) mask.
I’m really curious about the Powder Scrub. It’s another product that needs water to be activated, which is a type of product that I’ve never used before so that’s always interesting to try!
I think that it’s great to have an interesting and affordable brand such as Bioré in The Netherlands. The brand is already very popular in Asia, so who knows what’s going to happen here. I’ve received all the products that were mentioned inside a goodiebag. I’m definitely going to write a review about all of them, because they look really innovative and interesting. These products are already available at the Etos and Kruidvat stores.
Have you ever tried any Bioré products?
