Thailand Holiday Beauty and Nerdy Haul

Thailand Holiday Beauty and Nerdy Haul

I’ve returned from my Holiday in Thailand. This has been my first time in Thailand and I didn’t know what to expect at all. I mostly went to cities near the beach where there weren’t any shopping possibilities but there was plenty in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. Unfortunately, I was only there for one day but I still managed to get some beauty and nerdy products in the short time I was there. I want to show you what I’ve bought there in this Thailand Holiday Beauty and Nerdy Haul post.

I went to the McDonald’s because I wanted and Iced Chocolate drink and noticed that they had Nintendo Figures as their Happy Meal Toy! Apparently, these were also available as a Happy Meal Toy in The Netherlands a few months ago but I totally missed it. I collect these and was really fortunate to be able to get them there, only missing two of the collection.

I love Sheet Masks and there were plenty of them to choose from. In Asia, I always have to be careful with skincare products because there is a high chance that there are whitening ingedients in there, since a lot of Asian girls what to become as white as possible. I didn’t get a tan for nothing so I always scan the packaging very carefully. I’ve purchased a few cute Sheet Masks with animal designs, regular ones but also a very nifty compacted Sheet Mask set, where you only have to add water to make the mask expand. I’ve tried one and it was really cool to see the mask appear after adding water! But it almost seems like there is nothing else added to the mask itself so it’s like putting a wet cloth on your face. These might be good to make a special mix with natural ingredients yourself to make a custom sheet mask, which I might do in the future.

I’ve also visited a cute manga/anime store where they were selling a lot of books, comics, statuettes and other items related to manga’s like these One Piece Keychains. I’m a huge fan of One Piece so I had to get keychains of my favorite characters, Zorro and Luffy. I also received some collectible stickers after purchasing these items. I have no idea if there is a sticker book or something but there are cats on the sticker so I like them.

Did you know that Sephora also has stores in Thailand? I was really excited to go there because we don’t have them in the Netherlands. They have really nice brands available like Tarte and Kat von D. Since the holidays were over when I was shopping there, a few holiday sets and products were on sale. For example, the Kat von D Metal Matte Palette was only 40 Euro in total! I was so happy that I didn’t purchase it before, because if I would have bought this at Sephora.com, I would have to spend about 80 Euro, so this was a great deal. The tarte Works of tarte  Holiday Set contains five miniature lip pencils and lip paints, which was about 25 Euro in total! Another great deal so I was really happy to get both products and I wish I had more time in Bangkok to visit other Sephora stores too (there were three in total).

Remember those (gum)ball machines that are standing outside stores where you could get a random toy that was inside a ball? There are a lot of manga/anime stores in Asia where there are tons of these ball machines in front of the store with many different options. I love to check out these machines because there are a lot of cute themes like Pokémon. I found one machine that contained Pikachu Glass Identifiers. Not sure how these items are officially called but you can use these to place on your glass to see which one is yours. The Pikachu that is lying on top of the glass is a bit impractical, since it doesn’t really fasten properly so it falls off as soon as you move the glass. The other one is perfect is the Pikachu is hanging from its tail on the edge of the glass. I love this one and I think I got the cutest one of the bunch. It’s like the Pikachu is squished on the glass, almost crying.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my Thailand Holiday Beauty and Nerdy Haul. I was in Thailand for 18 days in total and visited different places, which were Khao Lak, Khao SokRailey (Krabi), Phi Phi and Bangkok. The trip was great and Thailand is definitely an amazingly beautiful country. The local people there were so sweet and I will never forget their kindness. I hope my tan will last a bit and now I really need to get used to the cold weather in The Netherlands again!!

Have you ever visited Thailand?

Cheers

Wow! Amazing! I really want to try anything by Kat Von D but of course, Sephora doesn’t have a store here either :/ Do you like Metal palette so far?

Ahh thats too bad Ana! 🙁 Which country are you from?
I like the KvD Metal Matte Palette! The shadows that I’ve tried so far are pigmented and blendable.
Will post a look using the shadows on my Instagram soon. 🙂
