Hey all, I have another review of the Gamer Girl Monthly Box. There are so many different subscription boxes to choose from, which can range from products like candy, videogames accessories and beauty products. I have to say that this one is my favorite so far. This subscription box contains several Videogames inspired jewelry and accessories. I’ve been subscribed to this subscription box for quite some time, you can find all the reviews of the previous boxes here. The theme of the December box is “Treasure“.
The pouch of this month is black with a red gift box image. You also get a monthly collectible button. There wasn’t any information on the products themselves on the information card, so I’m just going to describe everything as much as I can. The first item in this box are Crown Earrings.
These button Crown Earrings are gold with blue and red gems. They’re not really videogame related, but I do understand why they add these because of the theme. They do kind of remind me of Kingdom Hearts, but it doesn’t resemble the crown in that game.
I don’t wear gold accessories but I think these are very cute. You can definitely use these for everyday because they are tiny and simple.
Next up is a Controller Scarf. I loooove this item. It’s so unique and extremely cute. This blue jeans colored scarf has all kinds of controllers as its print. These controllers are designed to look like real ones like NES, Playstation and Xbox controllers.
The scarf is thin and has a lot of material, so you can easily wrap it around your neck in any sort of way while still being long enough. I think this is a great accessory that you can wear almost every season.
The next item is a silver D-Pad Ring. The ring is open on the back, so it’s “one size fits all”. This is the very first ring that I’ve gotten from this subscription box, so I was very excited to try this one out. I love how simple this ring is, but I definitely immediately thought of videogames as soon as I saw this ring since a D-Pad is on most, if not all videogame controllers.
I had to make it a bit smaller to make it fit around my ring finger, which went very easily. The ring still feels very sturdy after bending. It wears very comfortably and I think this is an awesome item to have for either gender.
Minecraft Diamond Pendant Necklace
The last item of the Gamer Girl Monthly December 2015 Box is the Minecraft Diamond Pendant Necklace. I don’t play Minecraft, I have seen a friend of mine playing it when it just came out, but this type of Videogame is just not my cup of tea. I do love how creative people get when playing this game!
The necklace has a nice length. I think that people who play Minecraft would really love this necklace. I like how simple it looks that it’s so specific that people who don’t know what it is will probably ask you what you’re wearing, because it doesn’t have a really recognizable shape for people who don’t play the game.
I think the Gamer Girl Monthly December 2015 Box was ok. I don’t really connect with the theme of this month and I don’t think the Scarf and Ring fit in the theme, which are both my favorite items. I also still think that the Girl Gamer Monthly team should think about putting different types of accessories each months box. Like last month, they had two necklaces in the box. This month, you don’t get two necklaces but again have two items that you use around your neck. I would personally would replace the necklace with a bracelet, temporary tattoo etc. I can understand that making these boxes each month is a lot of work, so I do appreciate everything they do.
You can subscribe to the Gamer Girl Monthly Subscription Box for $13 USD + $13,99 USD shipping Internationally, so $26,99 in total (Check xe.com for the current price in Euro).
