BABOR AGE ID Spring/Summer 2017 Make-up Collection

BABOR has launched their Spring/Summer AGE ID Make-up Collection for 2017.  The collection is consists of a range of products like warm and cool toned Summer shades for the lips and nails while also having soft, shimmer shades for the eyes to create a natural, colorful and fresh look. I’m going to show you a selection of the BABOR AGE ID Spring/Summer 2017 Make-up Collection.

I’ve received four products of the BABOR AGE ID Spring/Summer 2017 Make-up Collection, which are the Eye Shadow Pencils in Ivory Pearl and Taupe, the Lip Oil in Pink Magenta and the Creamy Lip Colour in Perfect Tan. Of all these products, there are also other shades available. Other products in the collection are Nail Polishes and a Finishing Powder.

The BABOR Eye Shadow Pencils in Ivory Pearl and Taupe (€17,00 Euro/2 gr) are dual-sided, one side has the eye shadow, the other a sense sponge that you can use the smudge the eyeshadow. The pencil is thicker than an eyepencil and are made of wood, which needs to be sharpened with a pencil sharpener.

Here are swatches of the BABOR Eye Shadow Pencils in Taupe (left) and Ivory Pearl (right). The Eye Shadow Pencils are highly pigmented, extremely creamy and glide on my skin very easily. The creamy eyeshadows are smudge and blendable for the first minute but sets to be completely smudge and transfer proof afterwards. The glitter does move a bit but the color stays in place.

For this look, I used the BABOR Eye Shadow Pencil in Taupe on the bottom eyelid and on the outer and inner 3rd of the upper eyelid. Then, I used BABOR Eye Shadow Pencils in Ivory Pearl in the middle of the upper eyelid and in the inner corner.

I didn’t like using the sponge blender on the pencil itself. I prefer using brush to blend out the product but this was already slightly difficult since the eyeshadow sets really quickly. I didn’t use any other products on my eyes other than the pencils, which probably made diffusing the products more difficult. I think I would like these better in combination with a transition shade or use this as a base. Other than that, the pencils are still very pigmented after blending out the edges and stayed put all day without creasing.

The BABOR AGE ID Spring/Summer 2017 Lip Products come in a cardboard box with a black and metallic rose gold gradient. The box contains details of the product like ingredients and also has the BABOR logo embossed in rose gold on the black part. In my knowledge, this is how all the BABOR AGE ID Make-Up packaging looks like.

BABOR Lip Oil in Pink Magenta

The BABOR Lip Oil in Pink Magenta (€19,00 Euro/5 ml) can be described as a type of lipgloss with a lip nourishing formula and an extremely glossy finish. It comes in a transparent tube with a doe-foot applicator.

The shade of the BABOR Lip Oil in Pink Magenta is exactly how the name is described. It has good pigmentation but not fully opaque. It is slightly patchy, since the shade is not fully opaque, a thicker layer will look more opaque compared to a thinner part, but it isn’t very noticable. I love how the Lip Oil feels on my lips, it’s so slippery without feeling sticky. The scent is also amazing, it reminds me of strawberry bubblegum, seriously can’t get enough of it!

BABOR Creamy Lip Colour in Perfect Tan

The BABOR Creamy Lip Colour in Perfect Tan (€23,50 Euro/4 gr) comes with a plastic, rectangular gunmetal cap that shows the BABOR logo and a gold base. You can twist the lipstick up which reveals the product.

The BABOR Creamy Lip Colour  in Perfect Tan is warm, orange brown shade. The lipstick feels extremely soft and creamy, which glides on my lips very easily. The shade is fully opaque and feels very comfortable. Since the formula is creamy, it does transfer and smudge so touch-ups after eating/drinking is needed. The lipstick does not have any scent.

There are definitely some interesting products in the BABOR AGE ID Spring/Summer 2017 Make-up Collection. I don’t really have anything negative to say about them actually. they’re just good products. My favorites are both Lip Products, I love a glossy lip from time to time and the BABOR Lip Oil in Pink Magenta is great to use for those days, love the shade and I especially love the scent. The BABOR Creamy Lip Colour in Perfect Tan is just a beautiful brown shade that I always gravitate towards, which I like to wear when I need a break from matte liquid lipsticks.
