Strobing has been the Summer trend of 2015, which is basically highlighting on crack. Even though summer has ended, you can still rock a beautiful summer glow using highlighters like the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop. This beautiful, limited edition highlighter has been made in collaboration with the beautiful Youtuber Jaclyn Hill.
The highlighter comes in a beautiful champagne gold box which displays the BECCA logo and Jaclyn Hills autograph. On the Back it also has a picture of Jaclyn. Isn’t she beautiful?
The packaging of the highlighter is the same as any other Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Highlighters. It is silver metallic and has the BECCA engraved on it and a taupe-ish grey outer ring. The packaging feels sturdy and has a regular “clicking” closure.
On the inside it has a compact mirror and the product itself. There’s 8 grams of product in total, which should last you for a very long time since. The highlight powder is finely milled and feels extremely silky and smooth.
Here are the swatches of the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop. On the left is a swatch made with one swipe, on the right blended out. It is very difficult to photograph, pictures won’t do it justice. The color of this highlighter is exactly as the name describes, a light golden champagne shade. It is shimmery and contains tiny amounts of fine glitter, it doesn’t have any chunks of glitter, which is a plus in my opinion.

I used the highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones, browbones, tip of my nose, cupids bow and a bit on forehead.

The BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop brings everything that I’ve highlighted come forward so it gives more structure to my face. It also gives a beautiful glow to my skin.

You only need a small amount of this highlighter. Like I’ve mentioned before, I used a bit more for this post however, it might look a bit oily if you use too much, be careful and use a small amount. Build up the product if you want more of the highlight effect.
I love the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop. It has the perfect amount of warmth, which makes it suitable for a lot of skin tones. Also, it doesn’t make me look like a discoball, but rather gives my skin a healthy looking glow. It does emphasize every pore and bump on my skin. So if you’re skin is very bumpy or if you have large pores on certain areas, I’d suggest to avoid using this highlighter in those places.
The BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop is available for $38 USD (excluding shipping and taxes, check Xe.com for the current price in Euro) at Sephora.com. It is currently a limited edition shade, not sure how long it still will be available. Let’s hope that they will make it a permanent shade because of its success!
