Bobbi Brown has launched a new eyeshadow line called Luxe Eye Shadow. These have a rich, multidimentional effect to give an immediate radiance to the eyes. These are available in twelve different shades and can be divided in three different finishes; Lustre, Metal and Sparkle. I’ve received the Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadow in Heat Ray, which I’m going to show you down below.
The Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadow in Heat Ray comes with the regular, black outer packaging with white details. The compact itself made of plastic and has a pale gold shade with a glossy, metallic finish. There’s an engraving of the Bobbi Brown logo, as well as the Bobbi Brown crest embossed on the compact, looking very rich and luxurious.
Opening the compact by pressing a button on the side reveals the product and a mirror. The eyeshadow itself looks quite big in the small compact, I find it really cute! There’s 2.5 grams of product in total.
The Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadows can actually be applied dry or wet to increase the metallic finish intensity. With the swatch of the shade Heat Ray, I didn’t see a difference applied dry or wet, so I kept it at one swatch (which is dry) for the picture.
The shade is described as “A Mid Tone Copper Metallic”. From the different finishes, Metal, Sparkle and Lustre, this shade is sectioned in the Metal finish. The formula feels so soft and buttery. The shade really looks like it is glowing and I wish that I could show you the sparkle when moving. The swatch looks a thousand times more prettier in real life because of that.
Since I have hooded eyes, I used a few matte eyeshadows for a transition shade, crease and outer V color to make my eyes to create dimension in the look. I used the Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadow in Heat Ray on my lid and inner corner. This shade can also be used on it’s own but I prefer to use it like I did above.
I’m absolutely obsessed with the Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadow in Heat Ray. It already looks so glowy and radiant in pictures, imagine that it also sparkles in real life. I think this is one of the most beautiful eyeshadows I’ve ever seen. The color and finish are absolutely perfect. I wouldn’t mind to wear this shade on my lids for the rest of my life. I can use this shade for both a daytime and an evening look.
I’m going to be extremely honest with you. When I saw the price of this eyeshadow, my jaw dropped to the floor. It is the most expensive single eye shadow that I have ever seen. If I was someone who didn’t tried this shadow, I would’ve never even considered purchasing it. However, it’s SO good! I have plenty of €50+ Euro eyeshadow palettes that have a lot of different shades but used once or twice ever. So for me, I do think the Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadow in Heat Ray is worth the price, since I love it and I know I will be using this shade very often. Also, I love luxury products and the packaging is on point. I’m definitely going to swatch the rest of the shades in stores and I would highly recommend you to do the same. It might not be worth it if you constantly change up your look but if you’re someone like me who often does the same make-up during weekdays, this might be your new hidden gem.
The Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadow in Heat Ray is available for €37.00 Euro at several places like BobbiBrown.nl, Douglas.nl, DeBijenkorf.nl and Bobbi Brown counters at selected De Bijenkorf and Douglas stores.

Hi! Do you remember what you used for the transition shade, crease and outer V? It looks great and I have hooded eyes too. I really want to try that combo
