Clinique has launched the Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer Camouflage + 24-hour Wear, a brand new concealer for those who are looking for a flawless looking skin that lasts the entire day and night. From workday meetings to late party dates at night, this concealer is meant to be ‘Life Proof’. According to the brand, it is supposed to cover imperfections, hyper pigmentation, discoloration and dark circles without creasing in fine lines and wrinkles. I’m going to review and put the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer to the test in today’s post.
The Clinique Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer comes in a plastic, squeezable tube with white and silver details, containing 8 mL in total. Opening the tube reveals a tiny hole where the product comes out.
The shade that I’ve received of the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer is Very Fair 04, one of the eighteen shades available. This is the second to lightest shade available and as you can see, the shade is too light for me and turns slightly grey-ish but since I’m at my lightest skin color due to the Winter season, I might be able to pull this shade off.
The concealer has a very thin formula but isn’t runny. It is an oil-free, waterproof formula that is also supposed to hydrate the skin as well. When dried, the concealer has a matte finish.
In the picture above, I applied my foundation as usual and the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer in Very Fair 04 under my eye on the left using a beauty sponge. The concealer really brightened up my under eye area but didn’t completely cover the darkness underneath my eye. I think a correcting concealer, another layer of concealer or another application method, since the beauty sponge soaks up product would’ve done the trick.
On this picture, I also applied the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer in Very Fair 04 on my other eye and on the rest of my make-up. The concealer does dries to a matte finish and looks skin-like because it is so thin. It didn’t make my fine lines look worse but I did apply powder on top of the concealer, because applying powder blurs out fine lines better.
Here is my make-up after wearing it for about nine hours in total. I didn’t feel like wearing this make-up look for 24-hours, because I need to go to work next morning so I don’t have time to take pictures. I didn’t do much in during those nine hours, only some household things but either way, the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer didn’t move one bit. Looking up close, my undereye area does look a bit dry but it doesn’t feel drying at all.
The Clinique Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer is definitely a good, long-lasting concealer that doesn’t go anywhere. I don’t think it covers as much as it is supposed to in one layer, but it can probably be built up for more coverage or use a correcting concealer before applying this one.
The Clinique Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer is available for a suggested retail price of €24,50 Euro at Clinique.nl, the Clinique Boutiques at De Bijenkorf and many other stores like Douglas.nl.
Have you ever needed to wear make-up for 24-hours long?
