Clinique High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara Review

Clinique High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara Review

Clinique has launched the new long-lasting High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara, which is supposed to lift and curl lashes, keeping them in place all day long. I’m going to review and put this mascara to the test in today’s post.

Clinique High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara Review

The Clinique High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara is described as a mascara with a mousse-y texture that is supposed to lift due to the infusion with a curling polymer, holding the curl and can last up to 12 hours without any clumps or flake off. The addition of Mamey Seed Oil conditions lashes and helps them grow thicker and longer. The Clinique High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara is currently only available in the shade black.

The Clinique High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara tube is glossy black with silver details and holds 8.5 mL of product. The slim wand has bristles with a conical shape, forming a tip making it easy to give all the lashes an even layer of product.

Here are before/after shots using the Clinique High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara. I use false eyelashes so I am quite harsh when I try to remove the make-up and lash glue from my eyes. My lashes are very sparse but they do have an medium length and are slightly lifted on their own. The mascara has a dry, mousse-y texture and dries down matte and really dry and stiff. The wand was perfect to easily apply the product on the base of my lashes, as well as on the bottom lashes. They were also easy to separate because of the brush. I personally don’t prefer this type of formula. The mousse-y texture creates a thick coat on the lash hairs, creating very dramatic volume and a bit of length. I wouldn’t say that it curled my lashes but definitely gave it some lift.

My lashes are really set in place and stayed elevated for the entire day so I think the Clinique High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara mostly does what it promises, but unfortunately, doesn’t create a ‘good looking’ curling effect on my lashes. I also think that my lashes look clumpy with only one coat and since the lashes are so stiff, the formula does crumble a bit as well.

I think that this mascara is not very great for my lashes because they are sparse and messy. It would probably look better with eyeshadow because it’s so intensely black and gives a dramatic volume. This mascara is not promoted as a waterproof formula but it is really long lasting, also removing the product takes a bit more effort so an balm or oil-based remover is highly recommended.

If you’re looking for an intensely black, long-lasting mascara that gives dramatic volume, lifts and holds up your lashes with an easy-to-use wand, you might find this mascara interesting to try out. The Clinique High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara is available for a suggested retail price of €23,00 Euro at Clinique.nl, the Clinique Boutiques at De Bijenkorf and many other stores like Douglas.nl.

Also, if you’re looking for more tips, Clinique has recently launched The Wink, an online magazine for skincare advice and make-up tips from make-up artists and influencers around the world. The Wink also inspires readers with interesting stories to feel confident and help you to look at your best.
