Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation Review

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation Review

Reveal your inner light. The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation described as a lightweight, buildable foundation with a medium coverage. Inspired by the texture of Charmeuse Silk, the foundation blurs imperfections with a luminous, lit-from-within finish. I’m going to review and put this foundation to the test in today’s post.

The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is available in 30 shades. The shade that I own is 5.5. The foundation comes in a frosted glass bottle with a pump that holds 30 mL of product. Th bottle looks modern and feels nicely luxurious.

Here is a swatch of Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 5.5 freshly applied and after it has dried. I have tanned before taking this picture, which is why the foundation shade doesn’t match my hand, but I did take pictures of the foundation on my skin before tanning.

The foundation feels creamy and lightweight. It has a soft, powdery scent which I really love. This is a slightly thicker swatch so it loos quite thick but it does look beautifully skin-like when blended.

Here is a before (skin prepped with skincare) and after using the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 5.5 applied with a beauty sponge. One layer gives a medium coverage. The product mostly evens out my skin and leaves my cheeks still looking slightly pink. I’m absolutely obsessed with the finish. It looks like my skin, but better and leaves a subtle, luminous glow.

Here is the foundation after I’ve applied the rest of my make-up. The foundation still looks beautifully natural. All product apply on the foundation perfectly as well.

Here is a comparison of the initial application and after about eight hours. I have a dry to combination skin type and the foundation holds out pretty well on a regular day. My T-zone does look a bit more oily but that’s normal for my skin type. It still looks great after eight hours and did fade on some spots that I touch often like my chin and nose, but because it is so natural, the foundation fades out beautifully without looking patchy.

The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation has been one of my favorite foundations for years. It wears beautifully over time, looks radiant, skin-like and feels comfortable and nourishing. Because of the creamy texture, it doesn’t look dry or settle into the fine lines on my skin. This is one of the foundations that I love to wear during formal events and I will purchase over and over again. The product has been loved by many people and I’m absolutely one of them.

The foundation does have a natural and luminous finish so if you prefer high coverage, matte foundations, this would probably be not for you. However, if you do like an amazing, natural looking foundation, I would suggest to find your shade in stores and try out this product yourself. To me, this is a product worth the splurge.
