Glow like JLo – Inglot Highlighters Review

Inglot Cosmetics has announced an upcoming collaboration with the Queen of Glow, Jennifer Lopez that is set to launch this month. JLo is known for her beautiful bronzed and glowing looks. It is therefore not a surprise that she is collaborating with Inglot, since the brand has a variety of amazing highlighter products. To celebrate the collab, I’m going to show you two different Inglot Highlighters from the permanent collection.

Inglot Sparkling Dust Face Eyes Body

The Inglot Sparkling Dust Face Eyes Body (€20,00/2.5 gr) is described as a highly pigmented, loose powder highlighter to provide the ultimate glow to any part of the body. The product can be applied as a regular highlighter, but can also be used as an eyeshadow, mixed with lipgloss, nailpolish, foundation and more. The options are endless with the loose powder formula. The product is available in six different shades. I’ve received the Inglot Sparkling Dust Face Eyes Body in the shade 01.

The Inglot Sparkling Dust Face Eyes Body comes in a transparent, plastic jar with a sifter. The holes cannot be closed so it is important to leave the jar standing upward if you don’t want to have the top part completely covered with powder, which I think isn’t really practical if you’re a MUA. The powder does have a “heavy” formula, so it doesn’t fly everywhere when you open the jar or during application.

Inglot Soft Sparkler Face Eyes Body

The Inglot Soft Sparkler Face Eyes Body (€25,00/11 gr) is described as a delicate, baked highlighter to add a sophisticated finish any part of the body. A subtle combination of color with shimmering particles brings out the inner glow of the skin. The product is available in four different shades. I’ve received the Inglot Soft Sparkler Face Eyes Body in the shade 52.

The Inglot Soft Sparkler Face Eyes Body comes in a plastic compact with a transparent lid. I think this kind of product is more “regular” user and travel friendly, especially for those who aren’t used to working with a loose powder formula. It is of course less versatile since it can’t be mixed easily with other products.

Here are swatches of the Inglot Sparkling Dust FEB 01 and the Inglot Soft Sparkler FEB 52. You can’t probably tell from the swatch but the highlight intensity of the Sparkling Dust is much stronger compared to the Soft Sparkler, which was expected when looking at the product descriptions. Both products feel very soft and glide easily onto the skin, are very pigmented but can be applied softly and can be build up in intensity.

The Inglot Sparkling Dust Face Eyes Body 01 has a light, champagne shade. I’ve applied the product on my cheekbones, cupids bow, nose bridge and as an inner corner highlight on my eyes. The pictures next to each other are before/after applying the highlighter.

The product already gives an intense highlight and the shade makes it even more beaming. This is the easiest loose highlighter powder I’ve ever worked with. Normally, I hate working with loose highlighter because the powder flies everywhere, which makes my clothes and the rest of any surface I’m close to look like a shimmery mess. This one stays nicely on the brush and applies like a normal highlighter.

The Inglot Soft Sparkler Face Eyes Body 52 has a warm, gold shade. I’ve also applied the product on my cheekbones, cupids bow, nose bridge and as an inner corner highlight on my eyes. The pictures next to each other are before/after applying the highlighter.

Even though this product is applied intensely for the review, it looks more natural. The color really flatters my skin tone very well. This product was also very easy to apply, packs a good amount on the brush and blends very easily onto the skin.

Both the Inglot Highlighters are beautiful in their own way. For me personally, I prefer the Inglot Soft Sparkler because it looks more natural. The Sparkling Dust is more shimmery, which I don’t like in natural lighting but this product looks intense and amazing in pictures and low lighting.

These are only two examples of the Inglot Highlighters available. The brand of course has much more to offer, including highlighters that are suitable to fit in their Freedom System Palettes (example here). I also can’t wait to see what kind of highlighters and other products the brand will launch for the collaboration with Jennifer Lopez!

Inglot Cosmetics products are available at Inglot.nl and at the Inglot Store in Amsterdam.
