Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Cheerleader Review

Huda Beauty is a make-up brand owned by the beauty influencer Huda Kattan, who started from working in finance to creating her make-up brand because of her love and passion for beauty. She first started with creating a range of eyelashes, which now has expanded to many other make-up products like the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick. Available in many different shades, this lipstick formula is supposed to have a lightweight, comfortable formula infused with anti-oxidants and other ingredients that help maintain the lips hydration while having a long-lasting, matte and transfer-free finish. For today’s post, I’m going to review the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Cheerleader.

The Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Cheerleader comes in a sleeved, cardboard packaging which shows an image of lips wearing a similar shade of the liquid lipstick, while “holding” the liquid lipstick in between the lips. I’m a true sucker for packaging so I absolutely love how this looks!

The Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Cheerleader comes in a plastic, frosted tube with a black handle. I personally like the look of a frosted tube but I prefer a clear one, since it makes the content look different in shade compared to how it it applies. The tubes has some weight and feels sturdy and luxurious, containing 5 mL of product in total.

The Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Cheerleader swatches beautifully even and is opaque in one swipe, which dries in a minute or two. The formula is thin and feels creamy/oily, having an amazing sugary, cake batter scent. The scent is quite noticable and will last a few minutes, even when the lipstick has dried so be aware of that if you’re sensitive to fragrances.

Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Cheerleader is something that I would describe as a Strawberry Red shade. The shade applied very easily and opaque in one go. This liquid lipstick feels moisturizing, which is insane because most of the liquid lipsticks feel very drying. Since the formula is quite thin and oily, you have to be careful not getting the lipstick on your teeth. The shade stays a bit sticky and does transfer a tiny bit before becoming completely transfer-proof.

The Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipsticks are one of the best liquid lipstick formula’s that I’ve tried so far (more reviews of other shades here). They’re easy to apply, very comfortable to wear, smell great and are long-lasting. Cheerleader is definitely an amazing and fresh looking red shade!
