Ipsy Glam Bag – November 2016

Hey everyone! It’s time to show you another Ipsy Glam Bag. The Ipsy Glam Bag is only available in the U.S. but thanks to Shipito, it is possible to subscribe and send the bag to the Netherlands. The Ipsy Glam Bag November 2016 is themed “Rockstarlet”. It is of course already the end of December, but I’m always a month behind because of shipping to The Netherlands, but I think a lot of readers like to see what’s in my bag . You can check out my previous Ipsy Bags here.

The Ipsy Glam Bag November 2016 is all about rockstar glam, so the bag itself has a denim look and stars all over with sketches of make-up products as constellations.

Like always, the bag contains five items in total. The contents of the Ipsy Glam Bag is different for everyone. You have to fill in your preferences and style during subscription so that you get your own bag filled with your personal preferences. Ipsy Stylists like Chrisspy, Desi Perkins, Lustrelux and Promise Phan pick out products to feature in the bags each month.

The theme of the Ipsy Glam Bag November 2016, “Rockstarlet” is all looking like a star and rocking your look. The card of this month shows the fierce Ipsy Stylists Lynette Cenée and Cydnee Black.

The first item in my Ipsy Glam Bag November 2016 is the Lasting Smiles Organic Lip Balm in Peach Blossom. This lip balm contains coconut oil, cocoa and shea butters for ultra-soft lips. The product is fair trade, cruelty-free, gluten-free, paraben-free and 100% vegetarian.

The Lasting Smiles Organic Lip Balm in Peach Blossom feels really comfortable and has a nice scent and a sweet taste. I don’t really get peach from it but it smells really fruity and juicy. I really do feel it’s nourishing and it’s very slippery, which I like. If I didn’t have tons of them lying around, I would definitely re-purchase this lip balm.

The next item in my Ipsy Glam Bag November 2016 is the Benefit Cosmetics POREfessional Face Primer. This oil-free primer erases the look of pores and fine lines , filling in the gaps to look flawless with or without foundation.

The primer feels very silky, silicony and soft. I already own a fullsize of this and have also emptied one, so I’m already really familiar with the product. It really does reduce the look of pores, not so much with my fine lines (or they are not considered fine anymore). I only apply this in the problem areas to blur the pores and I’m really satisfied with the results.

The third item is the LAQA & Co B’lighter in Peacher’s Daughter. This peachy pink highlighterc can be worn alone or on top of our favorite blush shades. Apply one layer for a sheer finish or build for a more intense glow. The creamy formula melts into the skin and is paraben-, talc- and gluten-free.

The highlighter has a soft, peachy pink shade. I really like how this looks on my cheeks. I usually don’t like to wear blushes and only bronzer with a highlighter, but this gives me an option to add a bit of blush color to my cheeks without looking too overwhelming. The creamy formula makes it very easy to use. I apply this by using my finger and blending on the tops of my cheeks.

The next item in the Ipsy Glam Bag November 2016 is the Ciaté London Liquid Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick in Diva. This liquid lipstick has a creamy and moisturizing, long-lasting formula. Hyaluronic acid conditions lips and makes them appear fuller and smoother. The precision tip of the doe-foot applicator makes it easy to apply, even for liquid lipstick newbies.

The lipstick has a bright red shade with a velvet matte finish. This does not dry completely, so it still smudges and transfers but feels more comfortable that a complete drying liquid lipstick. I have to say that the tip does make it really easy to apply the lipstick on the borders of my lip but also in the corners. It’s definitely a good liquid lipstick and the shade is also lovely.

Last item in the bag is the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Black. The skinny tip of the liquid eyeliner pen makes it easy to create fine or think lines and everything in between, goes on evenly over eyeshadow, has a lasting pitch-black color, won’t budge and is smudge-proof, even on the waterline.

The formula of the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Black is very wet and intensely black. I like that it’s super wet because that also means that it goes over eyeliner without drying up, which is the biggest problem I have with felt tip eyeliner. The liner is super easy to use and so far, it does make up to its expectations for being smudge proof. It’s one of the better felt tip eyeliners I’ve tried so far.

Here’s the full make-up look all the products (with the lipbalm as a preparation for the liquid lipstick) of the Ipsy Glam Bag November 2016. I think all the products I’ve received are really nice and are all very usable. I should be satisfied but somehow, I’m not. The bag is really repetitive, not so much in brand but more in products. I’ve already received a lip balm, black liner and red lipstick in my previous bag. I really hope that the next bag brings more variety in products!

The Ipsy Glam Bag costs $10 USD per month. When you use your Shipito address to send the bag to the Netherlands, it will cost an additional $7,25 USD making a total of $17,25 USD per month, which is about €15,50 Euro (check Xe.com for the exact converted price). For me, it took about 2-3 weeks to arrive.

If you want, you can subscribe to the Ipsy Glam Bag using this link. This is an affiliate link, which gives me 250 points when someone subscribes via that link. With these points, I can get additional products in my next box but again, feel free to do whatever you want!

Which product is your favorite from this months bag?

Cheers

Ziet er uit als een mooi setje! Dat tasje is zo leuk, maar met die primer en lipstick maak je ook velen blij. Dit concept is heel erg leuk!
