Hey everyone! I have another Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick for you today. This time, we’re going to look at the shade Rose Matter, one of the newest additions in Jeffree‘s Liquid Lipstick line.
I have written reviews of other Jeffree Star Liquid Lipsticks previously, which you can read here. I’m not going to re-invent the wheel and write something completely new if nothing has changed packaging wise, so most of the things will be copied from those reviews. The Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Rose Matter is a part of the permanent line so the lipstick comes in a pink box with metallic rosy pink stars details. The top of the lipstick is pink like the box with metallic rosy pink stars imprinted on it. The tube is transparent and displays “Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick”.
The cap has a “clicking” closure system, you can crew on the top and it “clicks” when it’s closed, so you’re always ensured that you’re lipstick is properly closed when storing it away. The transparent wand (another cool detail) has a very fluffy doe-foot applicator, which slightly bends when you put some pressure on it.
The formula is completely opaque, very thin and runny so it feels very lightweight. This shade is root beer scented. We’re not so familiar with root beer in the Netherlands, I’ve never tried it at least. The scent kind of reminds me of tiger balm or like the Stimorol Ice Intense Mint gum, which mind sound weird but that is what it reminds me of. It takes about five minutes for the shade to completely dry.
Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Rose Matter is described as a soft neutral coral shade. I personally think this is the most flattering rosy pink shade with a hint of coral. I love this shade. It’s bright and lovely, perfect for every day. The lipstick is completely smudge and transfer proof and lasts all day, only needing slight retouching after a meal and/or drink.
I think that together with the shade Androgyny, Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Rose Matter has become one of my favorite liquid lipstick shades. I think this shade would be flattering for a lot of people and would highly recommend this shade to anyone.
