Hi everyone. I have another review of the Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks. Kat von D is cruelty-free make-up brand, exclusively sold at Sephora. For this week, I’m going to show you swatches of the shades Bow N Arrow, Lolita and Vampira. You can check out last weeks review of the shades Lovesick, Mother and Berlin here.
Since I’ve already have written a lot of details about the packaging and tube in the previous post, I won’t write everything over again, so I’m pasting what I have written before because I don’t actually see why I would have to write the same thing again in another way (plus I’m too lazy for that). The KvD Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks are packaged in a slim cardboard boxes that has the name and color indication on the packaging.
The KvD Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks come in a beautiful slim tube and contains 6,6 mL product. The tube is mostly transparant so that you can see the liquid lipstick. The tube also has some black/silver details with the KvD logo and Rose/Flower artwork. The Liquid Lipstick has a regular doe foot applicator. I love these kinds of applicators since it is much smaller compared to a regular lipstick, so you can apply the product much more easily and with more precision.
Here are the swatches from left to right: Bow N Arrow, Lolita and Vampira. All the Liquid Lipsticks are very pigmented and try to a completely matte finish in about 60 seconds. The formula is slightly thicker compared to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks but are more matte. The drying time is enough to carefully apply these to your lips.
Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow
Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow is fawn nude lipstick. This is one of the newest additions to the KvD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick line. This is very cool toned, kind of grey-ish stone shade. This is a type of shade that is very popular at the moment. I really like this color, very unique and intriguing.
Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita is described as a Chesnut Rose lipstick. I think this is the most popular shade of the whole Everlasting Liquid Lipstick line. Once in stock, it sells out very quikly. On me, this shade looks very sophisticated and flattering. I looooooooooove this lipstick. It is so so so beautiful and perfect. It is one of my favorite lipstick shades of all time.
Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Vampira
Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Vampira is Deep Reddish Burgundy lipstick. These type of dark wine colored shades are usually a bitch to apply evently. Unfortunately, Vampira is no exception. It does apply patchy and will definitely get stuck and emphasize any flaws on your lips, but you should be fine if you scrub your lips before applying. I like it though, it is a very bold and seductive shade.
All the lipsticks mentioned above stay on like a pro. They are not called Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks for nothing. These lipsticks do not transfer and if you don’t eat any greasy food, it will stay put all day without needing to re-apply. Because of completely matte finish of these lipsticks, they are very drying. You can especially see on the lip swatches how matte and dry they are. I personally don’t like to use these lipsticks for two days in a row. You will definitely feel these lipsticks during the day when you wear them, I don’t mind since I’m already used to the feeling, but if you already have dry/chapped lips, I wouldn’t recommend using these (or any) liquid lipsticks. Before applying, I would suggest to scrub your lips and apply some lipbalm before doing your make-up.
Which shade do you like best?
