KvD Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks – Lovesick, Mother and Berlin

It has been about two months since The Beautynerd has launched, and I can’t believe I haven’t posted anything using the brand Kat von D! It is one of my favorite brands ever. Kat von D, the famous tattoo artist is the face of the cruelty-free make-up brand named after her, exclusively sold at Sephora. Her love for make-up can be seen in how much effort she puts in her products. Most of the packaging has her own drawn designs and she is involved personally for every product that is launched. The quality of her products are amazing. I have a lot of favorites of her brand like the KvD Tattoo Liner but for today, I’m going to review and swatch the KvD Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks in Lovesick, Mother and Berlin.

The KvD Liquid Lipsticks come in a beautiful slim tube and contains 6,6 mL product. The tube is mostly transparant so that you can see the liquid lipstick.  The tube also has some black/silver details with the KvD logo and Rose flower artwork.

The Liquid Lipstick has a regular doe foot applicator. I love these kinds of applicators since it is much smaller compared to a regular lipstick, so you can apply the product much more easily and with more precision.

The KvD Liquid Lipstick is packaged in a slim cardboard box that has the name and color indication on the packaging. It mostly gives a good color indication however, have no idea why Berlin looks so orange on the packaging. It doesn’t look like that at all.

Here are the swatches from left to right: Lovesick, Mother and Berlin. All the Liquid Lipsticks are very pigmented and try to a completely matte finish in about 60 seconds. The formula is slightly thicker compared to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks, but you still have enough time to carefully apply these to your lips without any problems.

KvD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lovesick

Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lovesick is dusty, nude mauve lipstick. This is one of the newest additions to the KvD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick line. This liquid lipstick has a very cool undertone. I love colors like these. If you’re a rose-y/mauve-y lipstick addict like me, you should definitely add this one to the list.

KvD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Mother

Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Mother is a dusty mauve pink lipstick. This is a very lovely and wearable pink lipstick since it is more muted than bright. This is another new addition to the KvD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick line. This has a more warm undertone which suits my skintone very well. I’m in love with this color, this will definitely be one of my favorite lipsticks of all time. You know what the funny thing is? I almost didn’t buy this lipstick because I didn’t think the swatches that I’ve seen were so special! Silly, silly me.

KvD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Berlin

Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Berlin is a warm rose pink lipstick. To me, this also his a slight hint of a coral color. This lipstick has already been a permanent shade from the beginning of the KvD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick line. This lipstick is much more brighter compared to the other two. It is a very nice shade to wear in the summer.

All the lipsticks mentioned above stay on like a pro. They are not called Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks for nothing. These lipsticks do not transfer and if you don’t eat any greasy food, it will stay put all day without needing to re-apply. Because of completely matte finish of these lipsticks, they are very drying. You can especially see on the lip swatches how matte and dry they are. I personally don’t like to use these lipsticks for two days in a row.  You will definitely feel these lipsticks during the day when you wear them, I don’t mind since I’m already used to the feeling, but if you already have dry/chapped lips, I wouldn’t recommend using these (or any) liquid lipsticks. Before applying, I would suggest to scrub your lips and apply some lipbalm before doing your make-up.

I always have been a huge fan of lipsticks with a matte finish. The KvD Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks have stolen my heart since I’ve first tried them. I own nine different shades and there will be reviews for the rest of the shades soon. The Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks are available for $20 USD (Check Xe.com for the current price in Euro) at Sephora.com.

Are you a fan of Liquid Lipsticks? Have you ever tried products of the Kat von D brand before?

I’m a fan of Kat von D liquid lipsticks. It’s got great pigmentation, great for long wear, lightweight, and does not dry my lips like the other brands I have tried. I just have a question, I haven’t tried kylie’s lip kit before. I’m thinking of getting one and I would like to know if these lip kits are better than kat von d

Hi Cj, I think the KvDs are way less drying compared to Kylie’s lip kits. I prefer the formula of Kats but Kylie’s are not bad. She has a different shade range but if you are looking for a shade that both Kat and Kylie has, I would go for Kat’s. 🙂
