Makeup Academy Fire Vixen Eyeshadow Palette

Warm-toned eyeshadow palettes are still one of the most popular palettes around. Even after more than a year of it’s popularity, brands are still creating more variants. One of these brands is Makeup Academy. MUA has released a new eyeshadow palette called Fire Vixen, which I’m going to show you in this post.

The Makeup Academy Fire Vixen Eyeshadow Palette consists of 15 eyeshadow shades, containing 12 grams of product in total. The palette is made of plastic and has a transparant top so the eyeshadows are visible.

The eyeshadows inside the The Makeup Academy Fire Vixen Eyeshadow Palette have three different finishes called Matte Eyeshadow (shades 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 13 and 15), High pearl Eyeshadow (shades 2, 4, 8, 10 and 14) and Eyeshadow (11 and 12).

As you can see, the palette consists mostly of Matte Eyeshadows. The quality is different for each shade. Some of them feel very soft and buttery, while others feel rough and chalky. Overall, the pigmentation is decent and buildable.

For this look, I used shades 1 (base), 6 (transition shade), 13 (crease), 14 (outer V) and 4 (lid). The palette was easy to use, blend and build up. I think that the most essential shades are there to create a day-time look. However, I am personally missing a darker shade to deepen the crease.

I think that the The Makeup Academy Fire Vixen Eyeshadow Palette is a decent quality warm-toned palette. There are plenty different shades to create different looks and are nicely blendable and buildable if needed.

Personally, I’m not super excited about it. Over a year of the warm-toned palettes popularity, I own plenty of palettes who are similar and of better quality, which are also way more expensive than this palette. But if you’re looking for an affordable warm-toned palette yourself, you should definitely check this one out.

The The Makeup Academy Fire Vixen Eyeshadow Palette is available for €6,99 at selected Kruidvat Stores and Kruidvat.nl.
