Manny x Ofra Liquid Lipsticks in Aries, Charmed and Hypno

The YouTuber MannyMUA has collaborated with Ofra Cosmetics to create three Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks in the shades Aries, Charmed and Hypno. I’m a big fan of Manny and really enjoyed his collab with Makeup Geek. I never tried Ofra’s Liquid Lipsticks before but I heard great things about the formula, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to try them out. These shades were supposed to be Limited Edition, but due to many request of fans, these shades became permanent! Therefore, I’m very happy to show you swatches of the Manny x Ofra Liquid Lipsticks in Aries, Charmed and Hypno.

Ofra Cosmetics is a cruelty-free brand based in the USA. The liquid lipsticks come in a partially exposed box so that you can immediately see the shade of the lipstick The front of the box is black and has the Ofra logo with greyish green details. The back is grey-ish green and has information like ingredients and the shade names.

The Ofra Liquid Lipstick tubes are made of plastic are transparent and contains 6 grams (I would rather say mL but it says “g” on the box) of product. Silver details are on the transparant part. The cap has a metallic gunmetal grey shade.

I like the look of the tubes but I’m kind of disappointed at the same time. The silver details on the transparent part chip off very easily. If you look at the shade Aries (the lightest one). you can already see that the “R” and “A” from Ofra has already chipped off, just compare it to the other tubs. I didn’t even bring this with me somewhere! Why bother putting such details if it comes off anyways? The box is also partially exposed so keeping these tubes chip-free will be a challenge. I find it really important for brand to look at the whole picture. I’m a person who not only likes make-up for the product itself, but also for it’s packaging so this is a real bummer for me.

The wand has a regular doe foot applicator. There’s nothing special about this one, it has the “normal” size and amount of fluffiness and does not move when putting pressure.

The swatches from left to right are Aries, Charmed and Hypno. The formula is the same for all shades. They are very mousse-y and do not dry completely in a super matte formula what you usually see with liquid lipsticks. Because it doesn’t dry completely, they will keep feeling sticky but it doesn’t lift the product of your lips so don’t worry about that. The weird part is that even though it doesn’t dry, the lipstick feels drying and feels like it’s “pulling” on my lips so I don’t find the formula that comfortable. These are also not smudge or kiss-proof and will leave a stain of you touch something with your lips. It has a strong, delicious vanilla scent. This doesn’t smell like artificial vanilla, but more like a fresh Vanilla Bean and I really love it. I still can smell the scent after application but it does fade overtime.

Manny x Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Aries

MannyMUA x Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Aries  is a soft baby pink/peach shade. Manny named this shade Aries because it’s his Zodiac Sign. His birthday is on 4th of April and mine is on the 3rd of April! So that was very cool to see that our birthdays are so close together. My name is actually named after the Zodiac Sign, L-Aries-A so I was really excited for this shade. I was afraid that this shade would be too light for me but it actually looks really nice. I would normally have never try a nude shade like this so I’m happy to add Aries to my liquid lipstick collection. This lasts all day on me with some touch ups after a meal. It does have a tenancy to fade on the insides of my lips so beware of the dreaded butt-hole lips!

Manny x Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Charmed

MannyMUA x Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Charmed is a deep pinky brown shade with a hint of mauve/purple. This shade was named after the show Charmed, which was a very popular series in the 90’s. I seriously think Manny and me good be best friends. We love make-up, videogames like Kingdom Hearts and Super Smash Bros (and we both play with Zelda), we are both Aries and like him, I loved Charmed to death. I had to fight with my mom to see the series because it aired at a late time and I was still very young at that time so we had to tape the episode (good old VHS times). I think this shade will be very popular. It’s a typical “90’s” type of shade and a beautiful everyday shade in general.  It looks gorgeous on me and it wears like a Charm (see what I did there?).  Only small touch ups are needed after eating a meal.

Manny x Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Hypno

MannyMUA x Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Hypno  is a dark brick red shade. The shade has a mixture of dark purples and reds. Manny named this shade because of the hypnotizing effect dark lips can have. I love dark lips as well, they’re very bold and eye-catching (aka hypnotizing). This shade is exactly that, beautiful, sophisticated, bold and eye-catching. Because the formula is not smudge-proof, you have to be very careful when you eat/drink something. It can smear outside your lips very easily and because the shade is so dark, it will show and it does take some time to clean up the edges again, so be aware of that. Overall, the shade lasts well and stays on all day if being careful with eating and/or drinking.

I’m a huge fan of the shades Aries, Charmed and Hypno. I can’t even pick a favorite because they all look very stunning in their own kind of way. However, I wish the packaging was a bit better I’m also not a big fan of the formula but it isn’t bad either so I will definitely wear these with pleasure.
