NYX Professional Makeup introduces the Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomade Pencil, which has dual-ended sides featuring a retractable pomade pencil and a paddle brush to create an effortless and buildable brow look. I’m going to show and review the entire NYX Professional Makeup Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomade Pencil range in today’s post.

Like previously mentioned, the product is retractable and has a teardrop shape with 0,2 grams of product in total. The paddle brush reminds me of a tooth brush which feels soft, is densely packed and completely flat. I always use a spoolie for my brows so I never tried a brush with this shape before.

Here are swatches of all the NYX Professional Makeup Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomade Pencil shades. I find a lot of shades to be very similar. I almost can’t see the difference between Chocolate, Ash Brown and Brunette. Espresso is slightly darker but I think I can manage to wear either of these four shades.

The texture is described as smooth, waxy and having a pigmented finish. I can definitely agree with these claims. I understand why it is called a Pomade pencil because it feels like a hybrid between a “regular” eyebrow pencil and pomade. It is a little bit less creamy because if it was, it wouldn’t hold the pencil shape. It does tug lightly on the skin but it gives a lot of smooth and even pigment in one swipe.

Here is a before and after using the NYX Professional Makeup Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomade Pencil in Espresso. Application was very easy. I could use the pencil end to fill in my brows and smooth using the paddle brush, which went amazingly well! The pencil makes my brow hairs very waxy and flat, so the paddle brush helps to give my brows more texture.

I think the best way to use this product is start very lightly filling in the eyebrows using the pencil side and alternate with the brush while building up the intensity to your preference. When I alternate with the brush, I wipe off the product on the brush afterwards so I could easily diffuse the color a bit more. I love that my brows look filled but don’t look extremely sharp however if you want, you can still achieve that look if you use a concealer at the edges of the brows.

Here are pictures of me using the shade Ash Brown on the left and Espresso on the right.

I absolutely adore this product so much, I think this will become one of my favorite eyebrow products up to date. It gives my eyebrows a soft look and works effortless in combination with the paddle brush. The only criticism that I have is that since the pencil is quite soft, it is prone to breaking off so be careful to not twist the product out too far.

I’m happy that so many shades are complimentary to my hair because I see myself using this product very often. It is easy and quick to use and perfect for a daily look. The pomade texture of the pencil holds my eyebrow hairs perfectly into place and I think it is even quite water-resistant since the product feels waxy. I highly recommend this product and is a must-try in my book if you’re looking for an easy to use product to fill in your eyebrows.
