NYX Professional Makeup Slip Tease Full Color Lip Lacquer Review

NYX Professional Makeup has launched the Slip Tease Full Color Lip Lacquers, which are ultra-pigmented, full coverage lip glosses featuring 24 different shades, from soft nudes to bold and vampy. The brand was so generous to send me all the shades so for today, I will review and show you the entire NYX Professional Makeup Slip Tease Full Color Lip Lacquer collection.

 

The NYX Professional Makeup Slip Tease Full Color Lip Lacquers come in a plastic tube with an hexagon shape, containing 3 mL product each. The tube is transparent with black details and has a gunmetal handle.

Even though the tube is transparent, the shades look extremely light in the tubes, which is not the true shade so I increased the saturation in the picture above. You almost can’t see any difference between the lighter shades in real life, which is unfortunate because if you’re in store and only looking at the tubes, you might skip some shades because you think they’re too light. You really have to open the tube to see the true colors.

 

Opening the tube reveals a hourglass-shaped doe foot applicator. I’m still sure whether I like the applicator or not. It feels comfortable and glides easily on my bottom lip, but I find it more difficult on the top lip. Since the applicator end is wider, doing detailed work was a bit harder.

 

 

Here are swatches of all 24 NYX Professional Makeup Slip Tease Full Color Lip Lacquer shades. They have a vanilla mint scent, which I like but it is definitely present, so if you’re sensitive to minty scents, this might be too much for you. The formula is pretty much similar for all the shades, they’re super pigmented and can be applied fully opaque. They feel super slippery and creamy without having a sticky feeling. Only the very lightest shades, Cardio Bunny and Chic Appeal especially can look patchy on the lips so I would recommend to wear a liner using those.

I absolutely adore the NYX Professional Makeup Slip Tease Full Color Lip Lacquers. They look super glossy and make my lips look extra full. They feel very comfortable, lightweight and moisturizing. I mentioned this before but they do not feel stick at all! Since these are glosses, they of course stick on everything you touch with your lips. Therefore, re-application and checkups are needed, especially after eating and/or drinking.

I thought these would bleed into fine lines super badly because they’re so pigmented, but it’s not so much at all! I do see a bit of bleeding but it takes hours and hours before that to happen. Also, all except for the two light shades mentioned before are easy to apply evenly, I can’t believe that the darker shades apply so beautifully!

The NYX Professional Makeup Slip Tease Full Color Lip Lacquers are currently my favorite product (shared first place with another product that will be reviewed soon) of the brand. There are some exceptions for the lighter shades on me but overall, all the colors look so good on me and are very wearable. My favorite shades are Latte, Shady, Motel Dreams, Karma Suit Ya, Camel and Urban Oasis.
