Talbot Runhof for Artdeco Spring/Summer 2016 Collection

After a successful collaboration with Tablot Runhof in 2013,   Artdeco has teamed up with the designer duo again to create the Talbot Runhof for Artdeco Spring/Summer 2016 Collection. The designers fashion Spring collection is inspired by colorful flower prints and stripes, which this make-up collection reflects upon with colorful shades like red, pink, lime greens and marine blues.  I have received and will show you a few products of this collection.

The Talbot Runhof for Artdeco Spring/Summer 2016 Collection has a huge variety of products like lipsticks, glosses, liners, eyeshadows, nail polishes and many more make-up products. For this post, I’m going to review the  Artdeco Hydra Lip Booster in Skipper’s Love, the Mineral Lip Styler in Dark Hibiscus, the Limited Edition Beauty Box Quattro and the Eyeshadows in Lemon’s Flicker, Navy Blue, Matt Stony Shore.

For the lips, I have received the  Artdeco Hydra Lip Booster in Skipper’s Love, the Mineral Lip Styler in Dark Hibiscus. According to Artdeco, the Hydra Lip Booster is a gloss that is supposed to create sensual full lips. It’s formula contains Blue Sea-Algae extracts, which stimulates the formation of collagen. The Artdeco Mineral Lip Styler is supposed to have a soft texture for easy and precise application and is free of oils and parabens.

The Artdeco Hydra Lip Booster in Skipper’s Love has a neutral red shade. The gloss is shiny, glossy and sheer. The opacity can be built up depending on how thick the layer is. The Artdeco Mineral Lip Styler in Dark Hibiscus has a berry shade and is nicely pigmented and opaque.

I have applied a thin layer of the Artdeco Hydra Lip Booster in Skipper’s Love on my lips, which makes it more of a peachy shade. I’m totally obsessed with the scent of this gloss. It reminds me so much of cake batter. As most of you know, I’m a liquid lipstick fan so compared to that, the gloss also feels super comfortable on my lips. It feels so moisturizing and soft and makes my lips look plump and beautiful. The gloss also doesn’t feel sticky at all and lasts very nicely for a gloss, about two to four hours on me. It does go into fine lines but it isn’t that noticable since the gloss is sheer. You have to re-apply every time you drink or eat of course.

The Artdeco Mineral Lip Styler in Dark Hibiscus (#10) is a twist-up lip liner and has a rubber grip for a more sturdy application. There’s a sharpie on the back so you can always create a nice tip for a nice precision. You get 0,4 grams of product and is available for €8,50 Euro.

I love the shade and the formula of this lip liner. It has a nice and soft formula so it’s easy to glide the liner on your lips. It does have a matte finish but it doesn’t feel drying. Because this isn’t as dry like compared to the MAC Lip Pencil formula (which I really dislike), it feels very comfortable and doesn’t make my lips look wrinkly like a dried up prune. You could easily wear this product on its own and it will last a very long time. Only small touch-ups are needed after eating and/or drinking.

Here is the combination of the Artdeco Mineral Lip Styler in Dark Hibiscus and Hydra Lip Booster in Skipper’s Love. The combination of these two products makes the shade looking more like a bordeaux red, a beautiful classic shade. It makes my lips look very juicy and glossy. Because of the gloss, bleeding into fine lines happens almost immediately and is very noticeable due to the shade. If you want to wear this combination, I would suggest to try to keep the gloss more on the insides of your lips.

I really like both of the products and would definitely see myself wear these separately.

Artdeco Limited Edition Beauty Box Quattro

The next product is the Artdeco Limited Edition Beauty Box Quattro, which is a customizable compact that can carry up to four Artdeco Eyeshadows. It has a striped motive and flower print design. It closes when you hear a click and opens by a button so you’re sure that the compact doesn’t open while traveling.

The Artdeco Limited Edition Beauty Box Quattro has a nice compact mirror and a magnetic strip where you can place the individual eyeshadow shades. It also has space for a small applicator (but come on, who uses those nowadays right?) The compact is available for €10,95 Euro.

I have three Artdeco Eyeshadows to show you in the shades Lemon’s Flicker (#252) Navy Blue (#270) Matt Stony Shore (515). These individual eyeshadows are 0,8 grams and are available for €4,95 Euro.

Here are the swatches from left to right: Lemon’s Flicker, a lime green shade (shimmer) Navy Blue, a dark blue shade (pearl) and Matt Stony Shore,  a taupe-y shade (matte). I’m in complete surprise by the quality of these eyeshadows. They are very pigmented and feel super soft and buttery. They’re so finely milled, it’s like touching silk! They do kind of fade a little bit and are less vibrant compared to the pan when applied on my skin, but you can pack on the eyeshadow to increase the vibrancy.

The Artdeco Eyeshadows apply and blend like a charm. Because the eyeshadow is so extremely finely milled, it does have a bit of fallout, so be sure to tap your brushes before applying these eyeshadows.

For this eyeshadow look, I used Matt Stony Shore in my crease as a transition shade and on my lower lashline, Navy Blue outer half of the upper lid and crease, and Lemon’s Flicker on the inner half of the upper lid and tearduct.

A full Artdeco Limited Edition Beauty Box Quattro would cost €30,75 in total. This is quite on the pricey side, but I would still recommend the compact combo if you’re planning to travel and only want to bring a hand bag or a small amount of eyeshadow. The Artdeco Eyeshadows really surprised me of their high quality. I’m very picky when it comes to eyeshadows since I’m used to the quality of brands like Makeup Geek and Urban Decay. The Artdeco Eyeshadows that I’ve tried are in my opinion, close to the quality of those brands. The small negative point is that the eyeshadows have a tiny bit of fallout and fades a bit on my skintone. If you’re not interested in the compact, you can also just buy the individual shades for €4,95 Euro each and put them in a Z-palette. They’re really worth checking out! I’m definitely going to buy another shade to complete my compact and maybe even look for further shades to add to my Z-palette.

Talbot Runhof for Artdeco Spring/Summer 2016 Collection

I honestly am very excited about the Talbot Runhof for Artdeco Spring/Summer 2016 Collection. You don’t hear often about Artdeco products on places like Youtube and on social media however, all the products that I’ve tried are of great quality and made me very curious about all the other things in this collection. My favorite items are the Artdeco Eyeshadows and the Mineral Lip Styler in Dark Hibiscus.

The Limited Edition Talbot Runhof for Artdeco Spring/Summer 2016 Collection is available at Douglas.nl.

Have you tried any Artdeco products? Which product was your favorite?

Cheers
