The Body Shop Star Stamp Liner – Holiday 2017

The Body Shop Star Stamp Liner

Party make-up looks can be created in many different ways like adding glitter and a bright lip color. Another fun way to spice up your make-up look can be done using the The Body Shop Star Stamp Liner, a dual-ended eyeliner featuring a star-shaped stamp. I’m going to show you how I used this liner to create a fun and festive party look down below.

The The Body Shop Star Stamp Liner is a product of the Holiday 2017 collection. It consists of a regular felt-tip liner and a Star Stamp. The middle part contains the liquid and contains 1.5 mL product in total. It only comes in one shade, which is black.

Here is an up-close shot of both ends of the The Body Shop Star Stamp Liner. The regular felt liner starts thick and ends to a pointed tip. The Star Stamp is based on a felt circle. Because it’s on a felt base, pressing the stamp too hard will cause the base to also be stamped on the skin, since it’s also saturated with the liquid. It isn’t necessary to press hard though, which you will see in the next picture.

I swatched both sides of the The Body Shop Star Stamp Liner. I’m usually not a fan of felt tip applicator since they tend to be too dry and stop working during application. These ones however are very saturated. Both ends applied very evenly without any skips, dry at a nice pace, not too quick or too long and are intensely black. You only need to press the Star Stamp end very softly to create the perfect star. I once applied it a bit too soft, which caused a small hole in the middle. This could easily be filled in with the other end. Also, swiping softly over the swatches dus not cause any smudging. It will smudge if you rub harshly but that is expected.

For this look, I used the The Body Shop Star Stamp Liner‘s regular end for the wing and applied three stars at the bottom end corner, which was very easy to do. Up close, the stars do fade a bit due to the powders (setting powder and highlighter) which were applied before the stamps, so they don’t look extremely black anymore but are still nicely visible. I wore this look to a party and received a lot of compliments. The products stayed on nicely all night long.

I love the The Body Shop Star Stamp Liner, especially because I love star shapes in general (which is why I have a huge chest tattoo full of stars). The formula is nice and it’s easy to use so if you’re not feeling like using the star end, you can always use the regular felt tip end. I think the size of the star is perfect, not too big or too small to see what’s going on. I like to use this in a more “subtle” way like in the picture, but you can use the stamp on any part of the face or body, even on the eyelids!

The only thing that I wish was that there were more shades available like blue and purple or even better, metallic (silver/gold) versions! Maybe something for next year? I would definitely buy all of them!

The Limited Edition  The Body Shop Star Stamp Liner is available for €12,00 Euro at TheBodyShop.nl and The Body Shop stores.
