Vampy Fall Lips using Affordable Etos Lip Products

Summer is over in The Netherlands, slowly transitioning into the Fall Season. I will miss the warm temperatures but it does make room for one of my favorite things when it comes to make-up; Vampy Fall Lips. Etos offers a selection of new make-up products, including a matching lippencil and lipstick combination in the shades We Rebel Together and Purple Haze to create Vampy Fall Lips. I’m going to review and show this combination in this post.

The Etos Lip Pencil and Color Care Lipstick are two of the six new Etos On Trend make-up products. For example, there are some awesome shades in the new Color Care Lipstick range, including a Blue, Teal, Grey and Black shade. I love unusual shade like these, especially when it’s available for an affordable price. The other new products are Lipglosses, a Fiber Mascara and two new Primers.

The Etos Lip Pencil in We Rebel Together is a retractable lip pencil so no sharpeners are needed! The formula is enriched with Vitamin E and C and has a soft, creamy texture. The Etos Lip Pencils are available in ten different shades that match with the Etos Lipsticks.

The Etos Color Care Lipstick range has been expanded with ten new Limited Edition shades for the Fall Season, one of the new shades is Purple Haze. The high-pigmented formula of these lipsticks like the shade are hydrating and are supposed to give a long-lasting, even coverage.

Here are swatches of the Etos Lip Pencil in We Rebel Together (left) and Etos Color Care Lipstick in Purple Haze (right).

The Lip Pencil is indeed very creamy I like easy to apply lip pencils but this one might be a little too creamy. I feel like it would not create a nice, long-lasting base for a lipstick. It feels more feeling like thin, creamy lipstick with a matte finish.

The Lipstick is very shiny and applies patchy so I’m not agreeing with Etos stating that it applies evenly. It is often seen with darker shades like this so I’m not dismissing the lipstick immediately. I’m very curious to see if the Lip Pencil and Lipstick combination will compliment each other.

Here I’m wearing the Etos Lip Pencil in We Rebel Together as a base and the Etos Color Care Lipstick in Purple Haze on top. The combination looks like a dark purple shade that has a blue undertone with a shiny finish. It took some work but I like how it looks, very Vampy and beautiful for the coming Fall Season. You have to be careful when wearing this combination when eating/drinking, because it will smudge and transfer everywhere.

It is definitely needed to combine both products, the Etos Lip Pencil in We Rebel Together on it’s own looks very patchy, as well as wearing the Etos Color Care Lipstick in Purple Haze alone. Combined, it looks okay. The products still tend to cling on dry patches on the lips so preparing your lips using a lipscrub is a must. I wouldn’t recommend this combination if you tend to have dry and chapped lips.

The Etos Lip Pencil in We Rebel Together (€2,99), the Etos Color Care Lipstick in Purple Haze (€1,99) as well as the new Etos On Trend make-up products are available at selected Etos stores.

Would you dare to wear this lip combination?
