OPI Always Bare For You Collection Review

OPI Always Bare For You Collection Review

The recently launched OPI Always Bare For You Collection consists of a selection of feminine shades with a subtle hint of color. These delicate shades are perfect for brides to be and for those who are looking for a natural and subtle manicure. For today’s post, I’m going to review and swatch the entire collection.

OPI Always Bare For You Collection Review

The OPI Always Bare For You Collection consists of six shades, available both in the regular version (seen in picture), as well as the Infinite Shine version (review here). Per usual, each bottle contains 15 mL of product. The shades in the collection are meant to be subtle and sheer, so these will not be fully opaque.

For the swatches below, I’ve used a peel-off base before applying the nail polish to make swatching a bit easier. No top coat has been applied to show you the finish of the nail polishes. I’ve applied two coats of the nail polish in each swatch.

OPI Baby, Take a Vow

OPI Baby, Take a Vow is described as a Blushing Pink shade with a milky, sheer finish. I really like this shade, the finish is super glossy and it makes my natural nails look more even toned, slightly brighter and healthy looking.

OPI Throw Me a Kiss

OPI Throw Me a Kiss is described Iridescent Pink shade with a shimmery finish. This shade is definitely very feminine and princess-y. There are light pink and white microshimmers all over this nail polish, looking like crushed pearls on your nails. I would personally prefer using a top coat with this shade to make the shimmers stand out.

OPI Bare My Soul

OPI Bare My Soul is described as Nude shade with a milky, sheer finish. This shade is basically the same color as my nail bed, making my nails look super glossy and evened out. It makes my nails look naturally beautiful and perfectly shiny.

OPI Chiffon-d of You

OPI Chiffon-d of You is described as Metallic shade with a frosty finish. I would describe this shade as a frosty nude shade. Personally, I don’t like frost finishes, the brush strokes are always visible and emphasize the structure on my nails. However if you like these types of finishes, this shade is a great nude version and does look make my nails look more chique and sophisticated.

OPI Engage-meant to Be

OPI Engage-meant to Be is described as Pale Lilac shade with a milky, sheer finish. I would describe the color as Stone. I don’t know if this is a Trend shade but I find this color to be rather unique applied sheer. I don’t know if I like the pale tone on my skin but it does look super glossy and even.

OPI Ring Bare-er

OPI Ring Bare-er is described as Blue with a milky, sheer finish. I’ve said it and am going to say it again, OPI is horrible in describing shades. I would describe the color as a Muted, Grey Teal. This is another shade that I don’t really understand combined with a sheer finish. I don’t find it flattering on my skin tone but they again, look super glossy and even.

I’m really enjoying the OPI Always Bare For You Collection. It is something different compared to the creme and opaque shades that you normally see from the brand. Even though the colors and finishes are subtle, they definitely make a difference. The consistency of the nail polishes are all nicely runny without being too thin and can be easily applied evenly with two coats. My favorite shades are Baby, Take a Vow and Bare My Soul.

The nail polishes of the OPI Always Bare For You Collection are available for €15,95 Euro each (Suggested Retail Price, regular nail polish version). The collection is also available in the OPI Infinite Shine No-Light Gel Lacquers version for €20,50 Euro each (Suggested Retail Price). So far, I haven’t seen the collection at Douglas.nl so you can also check out the OPI Sales Locator for other store locations.
