Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Wonder Woman Eau Fraiche 2017

Jean Paul Gaultier has launched new Limited Edition versions of their Classique and Le Male Eau Fraîches, featuring Superman and Wonder Woman. I’m going to tell you all about the strong and fearless Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Wonder Woman Eau Fraîche 2017 edition fragrance.

Wonder Woman started as a Comic Book Heroine back in 1941. After more than 70 years, she still is an inspirational and strong female character, nowadays featured in many forms of media. The character is a classic icon, which makes her a perfect combination with the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique EdT, originally created in 1993.

The Limited Edition Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Wonder Woman EdT has the classic, female bust bottle shape, wearing a silver/steel looking bustier with Wonder Woman bursting out of the bottle. The can where the bottle is held in has the same artwork. The scent of the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Wonder Woman EdT is an reinterpretation of the original fragrance by the perfumer Daphne Bugey.

The top notes are a blend of Lemon Sorbet, Ginger and Sugar Cane Juice. I can especially notice the freshness of the Lemon Sorbet and the light sweetness of the Sugar Cane Juice.

The heart includes Tahiti Tiare Flower, Orange Blossom and Jasmine Tea. I usually love anything that includes Jasmine, but I can’t seem to really be able to distinguish the scent from the others. To me, it smells like a combination of citrus fruits (especially orange) in combination with flowers.

The base consists of Vanilla, Musk and Neo-labdanum, which is also described as a woody/musky scent. I can definitely smell a subtle hint of Vanilla, the Musk and Neo-labdanum makes the fragrance bolder and warm.

As someone who is considered “nerdy”, I really love the combination of these classic icons. The Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Wonder Woman EdT a beautiful twist to the original Jean Paul Gaultier Classique EdT. The Limited Edition version still very unique and recognizable, which can also be said about the Le Male version. I’m able to notice someone wearing the scents right away. Even though this fragrance is considered as an Eau de Toilette, the scent is strong and it stays with me almost the entire day.

For me personally, this is a fragrance that I’m not drawn to. I’m a type who likes woody, spicy vanilla type of fragrances however, the uniqueness of both the fragrance and exterior of the bottle has made this perfume a favorite for many people over many years. If you like sweet vanilla in combination with white floral types of scents, you should definitely and check out the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Wonder Woman EdT.
