Lancôme Idôle Le Parfum Review

Lancôme Idôle Le Parfum

Strong. Outspoken. Empowered. Lancôme introduces Idôle, a new fragrance that celebrates women who dare to dream and defy expectations. A celebration to the leaders and innovators of tomorrow, to the new generation of icons. The scent is described as a flowery, musk fragrance that includes the new “clean” accord, which harnesses the essence of the woman wearing it. I’m going to review the new Lancôme Idôle Le Parfum in today’s post.

Lancôme Idôle Le Parfum

The bottle of the Lancôme Idôle Le Parfum is designed by the industrial architect and designer Chafik Gasmi. Inspired by the modern cellphone with the edges shaped like a jewel, the bottle has a width of only 15 mm, making it the thinnest perfume bottle in the world. You can easily hold the bottle in the palm of your hand, with a clear center holding the rose-colored liquid where you can see the world through in a positive hue. The bottle can also be refilled at selected locations around the world.

I really love how elegant and modern the bottle looks however, it isn’t possible to let the bottle stand on it’s own. I did receive a PR sample so it might be possible that the actual product comes with a holder.

Lancôme Idôle Le Parfum

The fragrance was created by perfumers Shyamala Maisondieu, Nadège le Garlantezec and Adriana Medina. These three women from different continents with three different life stories, intuitions and characters collaborated to create one scent they all adored. The notes of the Lancôme Idôle Le Parfum is described as follows:

Top Notes: Bergamot, Pear
Middle Notes: Clean and Glow accord, Rosewater, Turkish Rose, Jasmine
Base Notes: Iris, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Musk

When I first apply this fragrance, I notice the scent being juicy and fresh however, it changes into a very floral fragrance very quickly. The scent initially reminds me of rose syrup, because it has a sweet scent of rosewater. After the fragrance has settled for a while, it changes into a more warm rosy/floral scent. It smells quite heavy but clean at the same time. I would consider this as a daytime scent for the Spring season.

I like rose fragrances but I’m not a huge floral person, so I like to wear the fragrance on occasions. If you don’t like floral/rose scents, it’s best to stay far away from this fragrance but if you do, you will probably love it. To me, it smells very feminine and suitable for all ages. The fragrance is quite powerful so it definitely stays on all day.

The Lancôme Idôle Le Parfum is available in volumes of 25 ml, 50 ml and 75 ml for €59,00 Euro, €94,50 Euro and €108,00 Euro (suggested retail prices) respectively at several (online) stores and warehouses such as Douglas.nl and Douglas stores.

Have you tried this new fragrance yet? What are your thoughts?
