The Body Shop introduces White Musk Flora, a floral variant of the classic White Musk fragrance described as sophisticated and feminine. The scent is categorized in the Chypre fragrance family, characterized by the Citrus top notes and Earthy/Woody base notes. For today’s post, I’m going to review the new The Body Shop White Musk Flora Eau de Toilette.
The box that the fragrance comes in has a soft pink shade with flowers in the background. The bottle of the fragrance has the same shape as the original, only being completely clear so it looks very modern and clean. The liquid inside the bottle has a light pink hue.
The The Body Shop White Musk Flora Eau de Toilette is described as a Chypre fragrance. The notes are Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Musk combined with a bouquet of Peonies and Lily of the Valley.
When I first apply this fragrance, I find it being fresh and zesty, so I think it’s the Bergamot and Pink Pepper that I initially smell. Then the fragrance turns more flowery. I always find it difficult to detect Musk notes, since it is described a “animalistic, earthy and woody or something akin to the odor of baby’s skin”. From what I can tell, the fragrance does become more “earthy/woody” and warm when the floral notes settle a bit.
I find the fragrance to be very light, floral and clean. It is definitely a day-time, Spring scent and I think it’s a nice fragrance if you love light floral scents. Since it is an Eau de Toilette, the scent does not stay long on my skin, so re-applying during the day is needed.
The The Body Shop White Musk Flora is available for €19,50 Euro/30 mL and €31,00 Euro/60 mL at TheBodyShop.nl and The Body Shop Stores.
