FOTD Valentines Day 2016

Valentines Day is just around the corner. I really like Valentines Day, even though people find it very commercial and stuff, I just love that this day is all about romance, love, happiness and ofcourse, lots of CHOCOLATE ♥. There are many Valentines Day looks floating around, and I thought, why not join in on the fun? Today I’m showing you my FOTD Valentines Day 2016 make-up look.

I’ve done my make-up very girly and romantic for this Valentines Day look, with lots of pink on the eyes, cheeks and lips combined with a radiant looking skin.

For this look, I think it’s very important to make your eyes look doll like but still sultry. I used my Ardell Wispies Lashes for beautiful wispy looking eyelashes, which makes it look more romantic. I also created a cat eye shaped liner using the Kat von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper, this makes the eyes look more sultry and sexy. I also used my MAC Extended Play Mascara for the bottom lashes and Anastasia Beverly HIlls DIpbrow Pomade in Ash Brown for my brows.

For eyeshadow, I used the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette. The shades that I used were Skimp + Stark (all over upper lid), Anaheim + Zone (crease and outer half of the lower lashline), Harajuku (lid and inner half of the lower lashline), Punk (outer V) and Blackout (outer half of the lower lashline).

For the rest of my face, I used the L’Oréal True Match Foundation in Golden Beige, Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Medium/Light Neutral, Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop and MAC Fix+ to set everything in place.

For my lips, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Catnip and a bit of Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lovesick on top in the center of my lips. I really like how cohesive the lips and eyes are together.

I kept my hair a bit wavy on the bottom, curls would be also perfect for this look. For those of you who don’t know yet, I’ve got hair extensions from Beauty by Roos, I’m still planning to write a blog post about my new extensions! I still have my blue hair clip-in extensions from Luxury For Princess, but I havent tried to combine these yet. I love wearing (peplum) lace tops. I think lace is very feminine, sultry and romantic looking, so I love to combine lace tops like this one for a romantic look. I got mine from H&M.

I hope my FOTD Valentines Day 2016 make-up look gave you some inspiration. I’m going to make some nice treats on Valentines Day for my boyfriend and colleagues. My boyfriend and me are probably going out to a romantic dinner, we like food a lot so it’s a nice excuse to do so right?
