Hey everyone! I hope that your new year started off great. I’m someone who likes to set goals at the beginning of the year as an extra motivation. Like last year, I have some new resolutions for 2017 for my blog. I’m going to tell you all about them in this post.
Buy less make-up, focus on what I have – This goal was already in my 2016 resolutions and I failed miserably. This year, my income has been cut by a quarter (which is over 700 Euro) because I’m only able to work for 30 hours per week which means that this time, I HAVE to spend less money on make-up. I still have so much things around that I’ve never used and are still waiting for a review so don’t worry, I still have many things to show you. I will also focus more on products received by PR bureaus to show you the latest collections available. I will always love to try out new products and review them honestly, no matter where they come from.
More focus on Instagram – Social Media is very important nowadays to reach more people. I’ve just reached 1000 Followers at the end of last year on my Instagram, and I’m definitely going to try to get more this year. Since I didn’t like to do YouTube videos because I didn’t like to talk in front of the camera, I want to try to do Instagram video tutorials instead. My main focus will always stay on the blog so don’t worry about me disappearing from here.
Cleaning up my stash and start a Blogsale – I have so much make-up that I can’t store it any longer. My whole house is a mess because of that. I really need to go through my entire stash and sell some stuff. This takes quite some time taking pictures and putting them online but it will be worth it. I did already set some stuff aside but I know I have to let go of some things because I just don’t have the room for it. The products that will be put on for sale are purchased by myself and will be available for a small price.
Improve on product shots and flatlays – I have seen so many great flatlay pictures in the last year, I also really love to try to take beautiful product shots like that too. I will need to purchase some accessories for it, which will again be a kind of problem since my house is so small and I would like to keep all the stuff to a minimum. Still, I like to invest a bit more time and effort for this, because I think there’s much more time for improvement on that.
More artistic, Videogames inspired looks – I don’t know if I will be able to do this more often on my blog, but I will definitely try to do more Videogame inspired looks on Instagram. I love Videogames and I have so many ideas for Eyeshadow or Lipart looks. I just didn’t have the time to really do something with it last year. I really hope that I have the energy for it this year.
I’ve tried so many different liquid lipsticks since they have become a trend. They’re my favorite type of make-up product so I want to create a page that shows my favorite brands in order together with my shade recommendations. When ready, this page will be available on the tab above so you can easily find it when you visit my blog.
I really hope that I will be able to reach all these goals for this year, but I’m already happy if I will be able to reach some of them! Let’s hope that 2017 will be a great year full of love, fun and excitement.

Oh ik kijk uit naar je blogsale! Zo een setback op geldgebied is nooit leuk maar ik vind dat je je doelen er mooi omheen doet 🙂 Keep it up! Zelf heb ik bewust en onbewust geen doelen gesteld. Ik wil bepaalde waardes behouden en anderen wil ik dan weer net “kweken” xD maar bekijk het niet graag als nieuwjaar resoluties.
