Hey everyone! I was tagged by my beautiful friend Wies to do the How much is my face worth tag. With this tag, you calculate how much all the make-up products used on your face is worth in total. I’ve never thought about how much my make-up products I use for one look would cost if you had to purchase all the products at once, so I thought it was very interesting to do this tag. Wies her total amount was quite high, and since we have the same taste in make-up, I was very curious (and scared) to see how my results will turn out. Be sure to check out hers too!
Take a guess before reading the post and let me know if your thoughts were close to what the actual total value was in the comments below!
.
I thought about how I would approach this tag, since I use a lot of products that are either miniature sized, or come in a set which would make it a bit cheaper/expensive compared to a full-sized product. I’ve decided to calculate the costs based on what I actually have spend. I will put the price of the full-sized product next to my purchase price. I think it will eventually even out because the balance between value sets/travel-size is about the same. I also have the Benefit Hoola Dew the Hoola liquid bronzer which I’ve received as a press sample. I do include the price of this one too, since I really like this product and would probably purchase it myself again if it runs out. I will also link all the products to where you can get them for that price. If the products are only available in US Dollars, I will convert them in Euro using the Xe.com Currency Converter. These prices are also excluding customs taxes (if purchased outside of Europe) and shipping costs.
For this tag, I’ve used all the make-up products that I would use for my go-to look. This is a look that I always go for when I don’t have any inspiration, need to be quick and have to put on make-up for an occasion. I love these products because I know that they work well on my face, last all day and will always look good. Most of the products are staples which I love to use on a daily basis.

The total value of the all products used on my face are worth a whopping € 630,78 Euro. The total would even be much, much higher if I would also include the customs tax that I had to pay for all the things I’ve purchased at Sephora. I knew that the total would be high because I love high-end make-up, but I wasn’t expecting it to be this high! The scary thing is that these are only my staple products so I don’t even dare to think about what my total make-up stash would be worth in total. I of course haven’t spend this amount in one go and most of the products will last for a very long time.
I want to thank Wies for tagging me. ♥ The How much is my face worth tag was very fun to do and really made me think about my make-up stash and current spending habits. I already wanted to buy less make-up, as I have mentioned in my New Years Resolutions for 2016, which I completely failed to do so (I will have a haul post in the near future). But after this tag, I’m really determined to invest more in other things than make-up. I’m also thinking of doing a Blog Sale soon so be sure to follow me on social media for updates!
I’m not a really a tag-another-person type of person, so feel free to do this tag for yourself! Let me know if you’re going to do so, you might be surprised what the outcome will be!
How much do you think your go-to make-up is worth in total?
