Blue Agave + Baking Soda Balancing Pore Cleanser

Bioré Blue Agave + Baking Soda Line Review

The Bioré Blue Agave + Baking Soda Balancing Pore Cleanser (€7,99 Euro/200 mL, suggested retail price) is described as a perfect daily balancing cleanser that deeply cleanses pores, dissolving oil and dirt while gently exfoliating with natural Jojoba Beads for an all over smooth and refreshed skin.

The full ingredients list is as follows:
WATER, GLYCERIN, SORBITOL, SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, LAURETH-4 CARBOXYLIC ACID, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, JOJOBA ESTERS, FRAGRANCE, MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX, CITRIC ACID, SODIUM BICARBONATE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, POLYQUATERNIUM-39, DISODIUM EDTA, BENZOPHENONE-4, AGAVE TEQUILANA LEAF EXTRACT, SODIUM BENZOATE, SALICYCLIC ACID, BLUE1, EXT. VIOLET 2, FERRIC FERROCYANIDE.

To use the cleanser, wet face, pump the product into hands and gently work into a foam.  Then massage the product over the entire face and rinse thoroughly. You can use the cleaner daily for optimal results.

I really enjoy using this cleanser. It has a subtle Menthol sensation and has a fresh, juicy scent. I don’t feel like the Jojoba Beads do anything because they’re not that concentrated. They do feel present and are very gentle.  My skn feel refreshed and cleansed without feeling stripped.

Blue Agave + Baking Soda Whipped Nourishing Detox Mask

Bioré Blue Agave + Baking Soda Line Review

The Bioré Blue Agave + Baking Soda Whipped Nourishing Detox Mask (€8,99 Euro/110 mL, suggested retail price) is described as a cooling detox mask that lifts away dirt, oil and pollution, purifying clogged pores while Menthol gives a cooling effect.

The full ingredients list is as follows:
WATER, SODIUM, COCOYL ISETHIONATE, GLYCERIN, GLYCOL DISTEARATE, ETHOXYDIGLYCOL, PEG-6 CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC GLYCERIDES, CETYL ALCOHOL, PEG-12 DIMETHICONE, SODIUM LAUROYL LACTYLATE, ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, SALICYLIC ACID, SODIUM BENZOATE, XANTHAN GUM, FRAGRANCE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, MENTHOL, BENZOPHENONE-4, SODIUM BICARBONATE, BLUE 1, AGAVE TEQUILANA LEAF EXTRACT, EXT. VOILET 2.

To use the mask, wet face and apply the mask by massaging a generous amount evenly onto the face while avoiding the eyes. Leave the mask for 3-5 minutes and thoroughly rinse with warm water while massaging in a circular motion.

The cooling, Menthol sensation is extremely strong on my skin. Even though I have a dry to combination skin type, I really don’t like to use this mask on my entire skin because it makes my dry and sensitive cheek area feel like it’s burning. I do like to use it on my T-zone only. Also, the creamy consistency of the product makes it resistant to water so difficult to wash away. It has a strong fresh scent and does give a clean and very invigorating sensation after use so I would personally use this mask before taking a shower.

Blue Agave + Baking Soda Instant Warming Clay Mask

Bioré Blue Agave + Baking Soda Line Review

The Bioré Blue Agave + Baking Soda Instant Warming Clay Mask (€7,99 Euro/4x applications, suggested retail price) is described as a thermal mask infused with clay that heats up on contact with water, opening pores and drawing out impurities in just a minute, leaving skin and refreshed.

The full ingredients list is as follows:
BUTYLENEGLYCOL, ZEOLITE, KAOLIN, PEG-8, METHYLGLUCETH-20, CELLULOSE, SODIUM BICARBONATE, TALC, LAURYLMETHACRYLATE/GLYCOL DIMETHICONE, OCTYLDODECANOL, HYDROXYPROPYLCELLULOSE, MENTHOL, DISODIUMEDTA, BHT, WATER, AGAVE TEQUILANA LEAF, BLUE 1 LAKE.

To use the mask, wet face and apply the entire amount of one sachet using dry hands onto the face. Massage the mask on the face for one minute, the product will start to heat. Thoroughly rinse with water to remove the mask.

I love using this mask. It is easy to apply, has a pleasant juicy and fresh scent, heating and exfoliating sensation and is easy to wash off. After using the mask, my skin feels cleansed, smooth and refreshed due to a subtle Menthol sensation.

Bioré Blue Agave + Baking Soda Line Review

I think that this new line is a nice addition to the brand. All the product have a refreshing sensation and makes my Dry to Combination Skin feel clean and invigorated. I’m not a huge fan of the Blue Agave + Baking Soda Whipped Nourishing Detox Mask but the Blue Agave + Baking Soda Instant Warming Clay Mask is definitely my favorite of the line. I would not recommend these products if you don’t like a Menthol type of effect on the skin or if you have a sensitive skin type.

The Bioré Blue Agave + Baking Soda line is available at several drugstores such as Etos.
