The Biotherm Life Plankton Collection features five complimentary skincare products infused with the patented Life Plankton ™ ingredient, described to give the skin an all day long hydration and helps to soothe, reinforce and protect the skin. The products also have the ability to stimulate regeneration of the skin and are recommended for dry and dehydrated skin. I’m going to review the two newest additions of the Biotherm Life Plankton Collection, which are Elixir and Eye.
Life Plankton Elixir
The Biotherm Life Plankton Elixir (€89,00 Euro/50 mL, suggested retail price) is described as a serum that defends, soothes and regenerates the skin by promoting the cell renewal process. In only 8 days, the skin’s quality should visibly improve by looking smoother, more even and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

The Life Plankton Elixir is meant to be used as the first step in the skincare routine (after cleansing) and can be applied on the face during the day and night routine.
The serum has a lightweight consistency and has a light, fresh fragrance. The product is immediately absorbed into my skin and leaves it feeling slightly tacky. My skin does feel nicely hydrated after use without feeling oily. After using the product for 8 days, my skin does look smoother and more even. I don’t see the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles yet.
Life Plankton Eye
The Biotherm Life Plankton Eye (€45,00 Euro/15 mL, suggested retail price) is described as an eye cream that helps the skin around the eyes look denser, firmer and more resilient while also reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines,puffiness, eye bags and dark circles. In 8 days, the skin should appear softer and signs of fatigue reduced.

To apply the Biotherm Life Plankton Eye, take a race grain-sized amount of eye cream and apply it along the zones of the eye contours by dabbing the products using your fingers until the cream is fully absorbed. This product can be used during the day and night skincare routine.
The eye cream has a has a lightweight consistency and has a light, fresh fragrance. The product is immediately absorbed into my skin and feels slightly tacky and minty without feeling irritating. It’s really strange on the eyes but I like it because it makes my eyes feel more bright and awake. My skin around the eyes does feel nicely hydrated and comfortable after use. After using the product for 8 days, my eye area does look smoother. I don’t feel like the dark circles have reduced yet but I can definitely see a reduction in wrinkles and my skin looking less dry overall.
I have a dry to combination skin type that is dehydrated and I love using the Biotherm Life Plankton products. In just 8 short days, my skin feels really comfortable. It doesn’t help with my oily T-zone but it doesn’t make it worse as well since the Elixir does not contain oils. My skin feels soft, balanced and looks healthy and glowing. I would recommend to try products from the collection if you have trouble with a dry and/or a dehydrated skin type.
