Clinique Fresh Pressed 7 Day Challenge

Clinique Fresh Pressed

Clinique has launched two new products that can positively change your skin condition in just 7 days. These products are the Clinique Fresh Pressed™ Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% and the  Fresh Pressed™ Powder Cleanser with Pure Vitamin C. I was very curious and accepted the challenge to see how these products would change my skin in just 7 days.

The Clinique Fresh Pressed™ Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% and the  Fresh Pressed™ Powder Cleanser with Pure Vitamin C already have the key ingredient in their name, which is Pure Vitamin C. Vitamin C is not only one of the most powerful antioxidants, but dermatologist also consider this ingredient with the most profitable properties for the skin, which has the most potential when it’s fresh. The results of using Vitamin C in skincare anti-aging and brightening effects are very well researched and published by many dermatologists.

The Clinique Fresh Pressed™ Powder Cleanser with Pure Vitamin C comes in a one-use sachet to keep the product as fresh as possible, away from light and moisture. The Cleanser brightens, improves the texture of the skin and stimulates cell renewal.

Other ingredients in the cleanser other than the Pure Vitamin C are Koalin Clay and Salicylic Acid. Koalin Clay purifies, absorbs oils and dirt and exfoliates softly. Salicylic Acid exfoliates the skin and separates dead skin cells from excess oil for a more smooth and firm skin.

To use the Clinique Fresh Pressed™ Powder Cleanser with Pure Vitamin C, open the sachet and pour the powder on a wet hand. Add a little bit of water and stir until it starts to foam. Massage the cleanser softly over the skin and let it rest for one minute before rinsing the product off.

The foam feels slightly slimy when mixed with water. The exfoliating properties the cleanser are very subtle, it doesn’t feel gritty and doesn’t irritate my skin. I don’t notice a scent when using the cleanser and it leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean after use without any dryness.

The Clinique Fresh Pressed™ Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% comes small bottle that lasts for 7 days after opening. Clinique actually recommends to throw the bottle away after 7 days, because the product expires will lose it’s properties after that time. The Daily Booster refreshes the skin, brightens and makes the skin look more radiant, less discolored, smooth and firm in just 7 days. When used for four weeks, the Daily Booster recovers the skin, hyper pigmentation spots are reduced by 21%, fine lines and wrinkles are reduced by 32%. Using the Daily Booster for twelve weeks will reduce the hyper pigmentation spots even further by 32%, fine lines and wrinkles by 43% and lifts the skin visibly by 41%. By the way, I have no idea how Clinique is calculating these percentages, probably by the test panel of people that they are using. I got this information by reading the press information documents.

Other ingredients in the Daily Booster other than the Pure Vitamin C are Molasses, Mulberry Root Extract, Scutellaria Extract, Grape Fruit Extract, Salysilic Acid (which I’m not going to explain since this was also an ingredient in the Cleanser), Sucrose, Betaine, Algae Extract and Cafeïne. Molasses help to break down pigment spots break down in microscopic pieces which are then divided over the skin in a bigger surface. Mulberry Root Extract, Scutellaria Extract and Grapefruit Extract work together to protect the skin against daily oxidative damage to prevent further discoloration of the skin. ucrose, Betaine, Algae Extract and Cafeïne work as anti-irritants to calm and nurture the skin.

To use the Clinique Fresh Pressed™ Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10%, remove foil from the top of the bottle but leave the lid closed. Making sure the the lid is properly closed, firmly press twice on the top of the bottle and shake the bottle for 15 seconds before use. Mix two drops in your regular skincare in the morning and at night to give it a boost.

The Daily Booster is a white emulsion and feels slightly sticky. I used the product by itself instead of using other skincare to really show you the difference when used by itself. During application, I can really feel the product working in my skin, it feels a bit more tightening, sticky and I can feel a warm, non-irritating tingly sensation on my cheeks.

To start with the Clinique Fresh Pressed™ 7 Day Challenge, I stopped using skincare products for a week to “reset” my skin, which is very dry and has a lot of redness on it’s own. I only used the Clinique Fresh Pressed™ Powder Cleanser with Pure Vitamin C each day in the morning and used the Clinique Fresh Pressed™ Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% on it’s own in the morning and night, by pressing firmly on the button on top once, I could get enough product for my entire face and even had some product left in the bottle after 7 days but remember, it is normally recommended to use this product as a Booster, to mix with your regular skincare routine.

After 7 days, the Clinique Fresh Pressed™ 7 Day System should refresh and brighten the skin, making look more radiant, less discolored, smooth and firm. From a distance, I can definitely notice that my skin is more radiant and glowy. I also notice that the redness on my cheeks is reduced. I also didn’t have any break-outs for the whole 7 days using these products. Let’s zoom in on my skin a bit more.

On my forehead, I don’t see any reduction in my fine lines/wrinkles (which makes sense since it is not a promised result after 7 days) but I do again see more glow. Other than that, I don’t see many differences.

On my cheeks, can definitely see the radiance again and a huge difference in redness. Also, my skin looks a lot smoother and my pores are a lot smaller too!

Around my mouth area, again see that my skin is a lot smoother and the discoloration at the ends of my lips are also reduced. The texture and pores are also a lot less than it was 7 days before.

On my skin, the Clinique Fresh Pressed™ products definitely do what they promise. The only thing that I can’t tell is the skin firmness, since I don’t have any problems with that (yet). What I didn’t tell you is that I’m actually am sick during the use these products, which would usually make my skin even drier and more red with massive breakouts, but my skin still looks good, which is really crazy knowing how my skin would usually look like when I’m sick. I think the Clinique Fresh Pressed™ Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% would even work better if you would use it like the instructions recommend, using it with other skincare. I am definitely curious to see how the products would effect the skin after twelve weeks, especially how it would effect my breakout pigmentation spots!

You can try the Clinique Fresh Pressed™ 7 Day System for yourself, which includes seven Fresh Pressed™ Powder Cleanser with Pure Vitamin C and one bottle of the Fresh Pressed™ Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% for €28,00 Euro*. I think this set would be great to give your skin an extra boost for special occasions like Weddings, Graduations and such.

You can also purchase the Fresh Pressed™ Powder Cleanser with Pure Vitamin C separately for €30,00 Euro* (28 sachets) and the Fresh Pressed™ Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% for €80,00 Euro* (4 bottles), which is in total €120,00* Euro for only one month, also without considering the price of your regular skincare. I would definitely suggest to try the 7 Day System first to see the results for yourself. *suggested retail prices, prices vary per store
