Clinique iD Active Cartridge Concentrate for Fatigue Review

There are three different Base products to choose from, which are described as follows:

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + – A silky lotion that provides 8-hour skin-strengthening hydration, suitable for dry skin types.
– Dramatically Different Oil-Control Gel – An oil-free gel that provides up to 8-hours of hydration, suitable for oily skin types.
Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly – A lightweight, oil-free water-jelly that provides 24-hours of hydration, repair + pollution protection, suitable for all skin types.

I have a dry to combination skin type (oily T-zone). I could also use the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + as a base, but I chose the Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly because I prefer a more lighter texture and increased hydration in my moisturizer during the Summer period.

The ingredients list of the Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly is as follows:
Water\Aqua\Eau, Bis-Peg-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Hypnea Musciformis (Algae) Extract, Gelidiella Acerosa Extract, Hordeum Vulgare (Barley) Extract\Extrait D’Orge, Padina Pavonica Thallus Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seedcake, Sucrose, Caffeine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Hydrolyzed Rice Extract, Sorbitol, Sodium Polyaspartate, Ppg-6-Decyltetradeceth-30, Ethylhexylglycerin, Propylene Glycol Dicaprate, Caprylyl Glycol, Trehalose, Polysorbate 80, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Hexylene Glycol, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol.

There are five different Active Cartridge Concentrates to choose from, which are described as follows:

Active Cartridge Concentrate for Irritation – Calm + comfort with Lactobacillus Probiotic Ferment.
Active Cartridge Concentrate for Pores & Uneven Texture – Reduce look of pores + retexturize with AHAs.
Active Cartridge Concentrate for Uneven Skin Tone – Even tone + brighten with Japanse Angelica Root.
Active Cartridge Concentrate for Lines & Wrinkles – Smooth lines + re-plump with Whey Protein.
Active Cartridge Concentrate for Fatigue – Energize + revive glow with Taurine.

All of the concentrates seem really interesting to try so it was difficult for me to pick. I chose the Active Cartridge Concentrate for Fatigue because I feel like my skin can look quite matte and dull because it is dry, adding a glow would make my skin look a lot more happy and healthier.

The ingredients list of the Active Cartridge Concentrate for Fatigue is as follows:
Water\Aqua\Eau, Butylene Glycol, Glycolic Acid, Pentylene Glycol, Caffeine, Sodium Rna, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, Adenosine Phosphate, Albizia Julibrissin Bark Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Acetyl Carnitine Hcl, Phospholipids, Lactobacillus Ferment, Caprylyl Glycol, Taurine, Hexylene Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Xanthan Gum, Stearic Acid, Disodium Edta, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Red 4 (Ci 14700), Yellow 5 (Ci 19140).

As you can see, a pump of the combined Clinique iD Active Cartridge Concentrate puts out an amount of the Jelly, which is transparent and a small amount of the Fatigue Concentrate, which is orange. The product is completely scentless.

For best results, the products needs to be used as the 3rd step in the Clinique 3-Step System, which consists of a Cleanser, an Exfoliator and a Moisturizer. I have a review where I tried the 3-Step System for an entire month here. You should definitely check the review out, because the results speak for themselves!

I really love the concept of the Clinique iD Active Cartridge Concentrate. I already know that the Clinique 3-Step System works wonderfully on my skin and the Concentrates gives an extra boost to the moisturizer, which is completely customizable for your own skin needs.

The Active Cartridge Concentrate for Fatigue is supposed to be an instant wake-up call for your skin after one application, make your skin look energized after one week and show visible reduction in signs of fatigue after one bottle.

After using the product in the 3-Step System for two weeks, I can definitely notice that my skin looks more lively and has a subtle glow. My skin always feels comfortable and hydrated after each use. I would highly recommend to go to one of the Clinique booths to take a test and find out what your perfect Clinique iD combination is.

The Clinique iD Active Cartridge Concentrate (a base plus cartridge) is available for €52.00 Euro at several places like Clinique.nl, Douglas.nl and Clinique booths at warehouses such as De Bijenkorf.
