Miracles do happen overnight. The MILU 2-Step Retinol Hydrogel Mask is described as a game changing hydrogel mask that helps to restore, firm and reduce the appearance of wrinkles while targeting uneven skin tone in just 15 minutes. I’m going to review and put this mask to the test in today’s post.
The MILU 2-Step Retinol Hydrogel Mask pack contains a Hydrogel Sheet Mask (step 1) and a Retinol Essence Capsule (step 2). The mask is infused with Lavender to calm the skin and is anti-inflammatory, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and to improve uneven skintone, Rose Extract to moisturize and brighten the skin, while reducing the damaging effects of pollution and Hyaluronic Acid to soothe, boost and maintain the skins moisture. The capsule contains Retinol Essence which has anti-aging properties by promoting the skin to produce collagen and regenerate cells.

The MILU 2-Step Retinol Hydrogel Mask is suitable for all skin types and safe to use for every day but is recommended to use once to twice per week. The product is meant to be used just before going to sleep. To use, apply the mask on cleansed, towel-dry skin and leave on for 15 minutes. Remove and discard the mask after use. Then, open the capsule and pat the essence on the skin without rinsing afterwards before going to bed.
The Hydrogel Sheet Mask consists of two parts and is sandwiched in between two white layers. The mask is very delicate so it is recommended to remove the semi-transparant layer first, then apply the mask on the skin and remove the second, non-transparant layer. The mask itself has a pearl sheen, which makes it look very unique and mesmerizing.
I really like that the Hydrogel Sheet Mask consists of two parts, they apply very easily and fit on my face perfectly. It also stays on very well because it isn’t too heavy because of the two parts. The mask feels like a jelly and on the initial application, the mask feels very cooling, soft and has a light, fresh scent. Over time, I did experience some irritation on my sensitive cheek area.
After removing the mask, I’ve applied the Retinol Essence which made my skin feel very tacky (almost sticky even) so I understand why this is a good product to be used overnight.
Before using the products, my skin felt dull and de-hydrated. The next morning, my skin felt a lot more hydrated, soft and looked slightly more radiant. I do think I see a small decrease in fine lines but it isn’t a huge difference. Do I think it’s a miracle working overnight? Not really, but it might be the results will increase with frequent use. Don’t get me wrong, using the MILU 2-Step Retinol Hydrogel Mask feels good (except op my cheeks) and does show some results but I don’t think it’s game-changing.
The MILU 2-Step Retinol Hydrogel Mask is available for €11,95 Euro at several stores such as Hudson’s Bay, Douglas.nl and selected Douglas Stores.
