The perfect base with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

A beautiful skin is the best base for any make-up look. Even the most amazing make-up products can look dull and patchy on skin that has not been prepared for application. Bobbi Brown Cosmetics offers a selection of different Skincare Products to exfoliate and boost the skin for a healthy looking base. I’m going to tell you more about these products in this post.

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics has an enormous selection of skincare products available for different skin types. The products that I’m going to show you is just a fraction of what they have to offer and are suitable for all skin types, which are the Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Radiance Boost Mask, the Extra Treatment Lotion, the Intensive Skin Supplement, the Extra Eye Repair Cream and the Vitamin Enriched Face Base.

The Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Radiance Boost Mask (€45,50/75 mL) boosts the skin instantly and gives the skin a radiance by gently smoothing and softening the skin due to the masks exfoliating properties. The dead skin cells are softly removed due to the addition of fine Walnut Grains while Orange Oil energizes the skin. A combination of Kaolin Clay and Algae Extract and Sodium Hyaluronate reduce excess oils while balancing the skin’s moisture levels.

The Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Radiance Boost Mask is creamy and definitely has a grainy texture. I can see pieces what I assume to be Walnut Grains in there but there are even more tinier, micro-exfoliating grains in there that cannot be seen by eye. It also has a pleasant Orange scent.

To use this mask, apply on damp skin and rinse of after 2-5 minutes with water while gently massaging the skin in circular motions and is recommended to be used once a week or as needed.

I have a dry skin type and very sensitive cheeks and I found that massaging the product on that area was too harsh. I didn’t have any problems with other areas on my face. My skin definitely felt super soft, smooth and renewed after using the mask.

The Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Extra Treatment Lotion (€71,00/150 mL) is a preparative lotion that needs to be applied before your skincare routine to maximize the skin’s moisture intake for fresher, smoother and firmer skin. Ingredients like Glycerin and Sodium Hyaluronate binds moisture to skin while Trehalose supports long-term hydration.

The Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Extra Treatment Lotion is water-based, transparent and has a lotion consistency without feeling creamy. It has an herbal/flowery type of scent.

To use this lotion, apply onto clean skin with a cotton pad or fingers, which can be used in the morning and night. It is mostly recommended for a normal to very dry skin type but it can be used for all skin types.

I personally like to apply the lotion using my fingers. It becomes very sticky at first but becomes tacky and dryer after about a minute. Applying the lotion on my skin feels very refreshing and also very moisturizing, I absolutely love how it feels!

The Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Intensive Skin Supplement (€67,50/30 mL) is an advanced, multi-benefit serum that improves the skin’s appearance to help prevent the visible signs of aging. The serum is enriched with White Birch Extract, which reduces the look of fine, dry lines, while Grape Extract helps clarify and brighten the complexion. If the serum is continuously used for four weeks, the skin is supposed to look firmer, smoother, more even-toned and radiant.

The Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Intensive Skin Supplement comes out as a slimy, white suspension. It’s really interesting to see because I’ve never seen a serum with this consistency before. Since the bottle is brown, I assume that there are ingredients in here that are sensitive to light so I would apply the serum immediately onto the skin. I don’t notice any scents in this serum.

To use this serum, apply 3 drops onto cleansed skin in the morning and night. Since it is a suspension, I would also recommend to shake the bottle well before application.

What I mostly notice when I’m wearing the serum is that it feels slightly tightening, so I can see how this would make the skin more firm and reduce fine lines over time. My skin also feels smoother.

The Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Extra Eye Repair Cream (€71,50/15 mL) is a rich, concentrated cream that visibly revives eyes and is a Bobbi Brown Cosmetics best-seller. The eye cream is enriched with Peptides, Natural Plant Oils, and Humectants that targets fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, puffiness and dryness. It also contains the Extra Repair Complex, a combination of Clary Sage Ferment and Argireline that helps boost the skin’s natural collagen production and strengthens the skin’s protective moisture barrier.

The Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Extra Eye Repair Cream has an extremely thick consistency, almost like a paste. It’s the thickest eye cream that I’ve ever tried. The scent really reminds me of plants or like freshly mowed grass, it is really a very pleasant scent.

To use this eye cream, warm up the product by rubbing it in between the fingers and apply around the eye area. Since the consistency is to thick and creamy, it is also suggested that the eye cream needs to be absorbed fully before applying concealer.

The eye cream feels so thick and heavy that I can definitely feel it sitting on the areas where I applied it, but I actually really love it. My eye area needs all the help it can get, especially because I wear a lot of eye makeup so that area feels really irritated sometimes. Applying this eye cream makes my skin immediately feel more calmed and moisturized.

The Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Vitamin Enriched Face Base (€53,00/50 mL) is a primer that also works as a moisturizer for smooth makeup application. It’s also another Bobbi Brown Cosmetics best-seller! The oil-free formula is enriched with moisturizing ingredients such as Shea Butter combined with Vitamins B, C and E.

The Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Vitamin Enriched Face Base has a light creamy consistency with an off-white hue. The formula contains Grapefruit Oil and Geranium Flower Oil, which creates a very fruity and refreshing scent.

To use this product, apply to clean skin in the morning and night. It is mostly recommended for a normal to oily skin type but it can be used for all skin types. As someone who has a dry skin type, I’m absolutely obsessed by it.

This is actually my favorite primer at the moment. I’ve purchased this jar myself a few months ago and I really like how it moisturizes my skin before applying makeup. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and moisturized, but also a bit tacky so I feel that foundation is applied more evenly due to this primer.

For a perfect base before applying make-up, I use these products in order as explained, starting with the Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Radiance Boost Mask (max. once per week), followed by the Extra Treatment Lotion and the Intensive Skin Supplement, then applying the Extra Eye Repair Cream and finishing with the Vitamin Enriched Face Base.

Since these products are quite pricey, I personally use these products during special occasions when I want my skin and makeup look at its best. This combination really makes my skin look and feel smooth, hydrated and amazing. My favorite products are the Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Extra Treatment Lotion, Extra Eye Repair Cream and the Vitamin Enriched Face Base.
