The The Body Shop Mediterranean Almond Milk With Oats Instant Soothing Mask is a creamy, comforting face mask suitable for sensitive skin. This mask is inspired by ancient Roman recipes, enriched with a porridge-like blend of Oatmeal and Community Trade Organic Almond Milk to help dry, sensitive skin, leaving skin feeling softer, smoother and hydrated. I’m going to review this soothing face mask in today’s post.

The The Body Shop Mediterranean Almond Milk With Oats Instant Soothing Mask is recommended for skin that is dry and sensitive. It is described to help soothe dry and sensitive skin, relieving the feeling of tightness and itchiness. The mask is enriched with Oatmeal from the United Kingdom, Community Trade Organic Almond Milk from Spain, Community Trade Organic Aloe Vera from Mexico and Community Trade Shea Butter from Ghana.

The jar contains 75 mL product. The full ingredients list is as follows:

To use the The Body Shop Mediterranean Almond Milk With Oats Instant Soothing Mask, apply an even layer on cleansed skin, avoiding the eye and lip area. The mask can also be applied on the neck and decollete if desired. Leave for 5-10 minutes. Gently massage the product using your fingertips in smooth, circular motion to gently exfoliate before removing. Rinse off with warm water in gentle circular motions. The mask is recommended to be used 2 times per week.

The mask feels creamy and reminds me of yoghurt with a mix of oatmeal. It smells sweet and warm but is very subtle. The scent reminds me a little bit of a dessert but I can’t pinpoint the exact smell. Funny thing is that I actually thought this mask felt so soothing before even looking at the name or description of the mask. It is exactly as described. The scent and soothing feeling is so relaxing. I’ve really enjoyed the entire 10 minutes using the mask without any feeling of irritation to my sensitive cheek area.

The oatmeal feels very gently exfoliating when massaging the skin. Removing the mask is ok, not easy but not difficult either. The creamy consistency doesn’t want to mix with water so it takes some effort to remove but the oatmeal pieces do not stick on the skin. After use, my skin feels soft, soothed and hydrated. This mask definitely helps my dry to combination skin feel comfortable and it is really a very relaxing product to use.

I really enjoy using this mask and I see myself using it frequently on very dry period of the year like Winter time to give my skin an extra relaxing hydration boost. I would definitely recommend to try it out yourself if you have a dry and/or sensitive skin type.
