An example of the products that the brand offers are the Aveda Rosemary Mint Hair Products, which are supposed to gently clarify with Micellar Technology by attracting and remove impurities. combined with an invigorating aroma. For today’s post, I’m going to review and show the Aveda Rosemary Mint Purifying Shampoo and the Rosemary Mint Weightless Conditioner.
Rosemary Mint Purifying Shampoo
The Aveda Rosemary Mint Purifying Shampoo (€18,00 Euro/250 mL) is described to gently clarify hair, leaving it feeling squeaky clean, reset and shiny. This silicone-free Shampoo is formulated with Micelles and White Vinegar gently clarifies hair without feeling stripped, while having an invigorating aroma of Organic Rosemary, Peppermint and Spearmint to energize, awaken the senses and improve focus.
The Aveda Rosemary Mint Purifying Shampoo is completely transparent. Applying the shampoo is easy, it can be nicely distributed on the scalp because the product foams. During application, I can definitely notice the invigorating scent. It smells very natural and Peppermint is for me, the most noticeable scent. Rinsing off the shampoo leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean.
Because of the scent, I think this is a great shampoo to be used in the morning. I’m not a morning person so a shower in general usually helps me wake up and the minty scent gives it an extra push.
Rosemary Mint Weightless Conditioner
The Aveda Rosemary Mint Weightless Conditioner (€21,00 Euro/250 mL) is described to help prevent tangles and static while leaving hair full of body and shine. This Silicone-free Conditioner helps prevent tangles and static while leaving hair full of weightless body and shine. Like the shampoo, this product has an invigorating aroma of Organic Rosemary, Peppermint and Spearmint to energize, awaken and improve focus.
The Aveda Rosemary Mint Weightless Conditioner has a lightweight, creamy consistency. Applying the conditioner is interesting. Normally when I’m applying a conditioner, it leaves a layer. With this conditioner, it seems like everything is completely absorbed in my hair. The scent is the same as the shampoo. Rinsing off the conditioner leaves my hair feeling tangle-free and slightly more voluminous.
On my hair, I do feel like the products do exactly has they are described. Letting my hair dry using these products leave my hair looking shiny and full. However, my hair is dry and damaged so unfortunately, my hair also feels dry and crunchy after using this combination. The products of course are not described to being hydrating/moisturizing so I don’t think these products are bad, they’re just not meant for my hair type.
I do think I can use the Aveda Rosemary Mint Purifying Shampoo with a different conditioner/hair mask, because I love the squeaky clean feeling but the Aveda Rosemary Mint Weightless Conditioner is too lightweight for me. I think that these products are a good combination for those who have trouble with flat, dull and greasy looking hair.
