Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick Set Review

Anastasia Beverly Hills has launched a Limited Edition set that includes four deluxe mini’s of their Matte Lipsticks. The set offers a range of nude lipstick shades that have a full pigment, vegan formula. I’m going to review and show you all the details of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick Set in today’s post.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick Set comes in a cardboard packaging with metallic gold and black details. The back of the packaging shows an image with the shade swatches and the ingredients list. The lipstick shades that are included in the set are Soft PinkKissSpice and Dead Roses. These shades are individually available in fullsize.

The deluxe mini Matte Lipsticks inside the set have the same tube design as a fullsize version, only smaller! I unfortunately do not own any fullsize Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipsticks so I can’t compare them in a picture. The deluxe mini’s contain 1.3 grams of product each, a fullsize contains 3.5 grams, so you get less than half in weight but comparing the prices, I still think that you get a nice deal for four shades.

The shades inside the Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick Set are all very pigmented, unscented, swatch evenly and have the same matte finish. I like the variety of the nude shades that they’ve put in the set. I can definitely see these shades being wearable on a range of skintones.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Soft Pink

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Soft Pink is described as a Blushing Pink shade. I actually applied this lipstick without looking at the name, and I immediately thought of it being a soft pink shade so it matches perfectly in my eyes! I really like the shade, it looks so pretty and romantic.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Kiss

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Kiss is described as a Rosy Petal Pink shade. On me, this looks like a gorgeous nude shade.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Spice

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Spice is described as a Rosy Oak shade. I really like the warmth that this lipstick has. I like warm toned makeup looks and I think this shade will match perfectly with those kinds of looks.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Dead Roses

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Dead Roses is described as a Rosy Lilac shade. I adore shades like this one but it’s so difficult to capture! Just google this shade and you can see how much variety there is when the shade is captured. Either way, it is a gorgeous, edgy but very wearable shade.

The application was the same for all the shades. The matte formula causes the lipstick to tug on the lips when applying but went on easily and evenly. It can look grainy on some dry spots, which becomes more visible over time on the inner rim of my lips. I also think that because of the dry, matte formula, my already dry lips still look wrinkly. It feels more comfortable than a flat matte liquid lipsticks but still feels drying. It doesn’t transfer as much for a regular lipstick, doesn’t bleed into fine lines and is quite long-lasting, but checkups after eating is definitely needed.

I do love all the shades and how opaque they are but at the moment, I don’t really care for them when it comes to the formula, since my lips are still very dry because of the cold weather. I probably will like them more when my lips are less dry! If you like how flat matte lipsticks look but find them too uncomfortable, you might want to try out these lipsticks!

The Limited Edition Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick Set is available for €22,94 Euro at GreatBeautyBar.nl.
