Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer Review

Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer Review

Benefit Cosmetics has launched their new Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer, described as a lightweight, full coverage concealer that doesn’t look cakey and lasts up to 24-hours. In today’s post, I’m going to review and put the Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer to the test.

The Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer is available in 12 different shades. The product comes in a transparent, plastic tube holding 5 mL of product. Like the other concealers from the brand, the packaging looks like a pencil with an eraser. It looks so cute!

Opening the tube reveals a doe foot applicator with a dent in the middle which holds more product inside.

I received the Cakeless Concealer in the shades NO. 5 (Medium Neutral) and NO. 6 (Medium Cool). The shades are NOT the same as the Hello Happy Foundations (review here). I have both foundations in the shades 5 and 6. These both seem darker compared to the concealer but I don’t know if this is the case for all the shades.

The consistency of the concealer is very interesting. It is creamy, applies very thin but isn’t runny, feels lightweight and dries down to a satin matte finish. I don’t really notice a scent, just the average foundation/concealer smell.

Here is a before (Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation in 6 applied)  and after using the Benefit Cakeless Concealer in NO.6 applied using a beauty sponge.  The shade brightens my undereye area and covers my dark circles. I definitely consider this as a full coverage concealer.

Here is the Cakeless Concealer combined with the rest of my make-up. Like any other concealer, I had to set it with loose powder to prevent creasing. Even though it does crease on me without setting, it did look very good without already. With setting, it makes my undereyes look absolutely flawless. Because the formula of the product applies so thin, it makes the texture of my skin look beautifully natural.

Here the wear test of the initial application (left) and after wearing my make-up for about nine hours (right). My undereye area still looks flawless after many hours of wear!

The Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer has become my current, favorite concealer. I love it because it is full coverage, applies thin and looks natural. Most concealers look dry underneath my eyes but this one, does not! It’s basically everything I want in a concealer.

The only downside is that there are only 12 shades, which is not much compared to what other brands are currently launching. I hope that Benefit will consider expanding the shade range because it is a beautiful concealer that should be available for everyone!

The Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer is available for €24,47 Euro at Douglas.nl and selected Douglas Stores.
