EOS (Evolution of Smooth) is expanding their Lip Balm family by introducing the new Shimmer Collection, featuring two EOS Shimmer Lip Balm shades in Sheer Pink and Pearl. These new shades combines the caring properties of a regular EOS Lip Balm with a subtle shimmery finish. I’ve received the EOS Shimmer Pearl Lip Balm which I’m going to show you down below.
Not only does the EOS Lip Balms in the new Shimmer Collection have a new finish, the packaging is also different, having a black, matte design with the shade including the pearlescent finish peeking through the lid in various cut-outs. The product is revealed after removing the screw off cap. Like the packaging, the Lip Balm has a spherical shape, containing 7 grams of product. Like the original EOS Lip Balms, this does not contain any mineral oils and parabens, is 100% natural, packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter, and jojoba oil.
The EOS Shimmer Pearl Lip Balm has a soft pearlescent shimmer thanks to the addition of mineral mica particles. These particles are so small that you can’t feel them being there. It just feels like any other EOS Lip Balm. It has a subtle Vanilla scent that smells very natural and I really like it.
The EOS Shimmer Pearl Lip Balm leaves a thin layer and makes my lips look nicely plump and hydrated. To me, it looks like my lips have a velvet-y shimmer finish instead of shiny and glossy. Like the regular version, it feels moisturizing but the hydrating effect is not as strong compared to a super thick Lip balm. I personally prefer thinner lipbalms like the this one when I’m not wearing lipsticks during the day and thicker, more moisturizing and nourishing Lip Balms before bedtime.
I like the EOS Shimmer Pearl Lip Balm. The packaging looks cool and the finish is something different than what you usually in Lip Balms. I think the Shimmer Collection is a nice new addition to the EOS Lip Balm family.
