Kylie Cosmetics Send Me More Nudes Velvet Liquid Lipstick Set

Kylie Cosmetics has launched a Limited Edition collection for Summer called Vacation.  Several items are available in this collection, including the Kylie Cosmetics Send Me More Nudes Velvet Liquid Lipstick Set, containing four Velvet Liquid Lipstick shades. I’m going to review and show you swatches of this set in today’s post.

Something that I always want to mention in Kylie Cosmetics reviews is that there are many, many websites and stores who offer counterfeit products, since these products are very popular. Please don’t fall for it, the brand does not work with any stores other than at their official webstore KylieCosmetics.com  so if you want to be sure that you get the real deal, you have to buy it from the official webstore, which I of course have done myself. The shipment box where the products come in is also customized, which you can see in the picture above.

The Kylie Cosmetics Send Me More Nudes Velvet Liquid Lipstick Set comes in a nude packaging with metallic gold details. There was also a card with a cute message from Kylie.

Removing the sleeve reveals the four Velvet Liquid Lipsticks in the shades NudeBirthday SuitCommando and Bare.  The tubes are transparent and frosty with nude matte details like the signature drip art and Kylie’s logo. These are fullsize and contain 3 grams of product each.

I really love the frosty tube and nude details of the lipstick, it looks very trendy and modern.  he tube also feels very nice and sturdy. The doe foot applicator has a standard shape and feels comfortable. I think it’s the same type of applicator as their matte liquid lipsticks, which I have reviewed in previous posts (check them out here).

Here are swatches of all four shades inside the Kylie Cosmetics Send Me More Nudes Velvet Liquid Lipstick Set. All shades are very creamy, opaque and glide on very easily. The scent is the same as in the Matte versions, which smells like a very sweet candy-like cake batter scent, a bit too sweet for my taste but it’s not something I can’t handle.

Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Liquid Lipstick in Naked

The Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Liquid Lipstick in Naked  is described as a Sandy Beige.  It  is almost the same shade as my own skin color but I think I can just manage to wear this. I would say that this has a neutral undertone, not too warm or too cool. It applied smoothly but needed some extra attention on the insides of my lips. Other than that, it was easy, opaque and even.

Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Liquid Lipstick in Birthday Suit

The Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Liquid Lipstick in Birthday Suit is described as a Nude Warm Beige. I don’t think I have a shade like this one. It looks very like  an orange-y nude shade on me, really unique and I really have to get used to something like this but I like it. It was very difficult to capture the true color on the lipswatch though and I really hope I did a good job! This shade applied similar to the shade Nude.

Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Liquid Lipstick in Commando

The Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Liquid Lipstick in Commando is described as a Terracotta Beige. This is the darkest shade in the set and I really love how it compliments my light to medium skin tone. I normally don’t wear warm nude shades like this one but I really am considering to wear this more often now. This shade was the easiest to apply. It went on very smooth and applied evenly.

Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Liquid Lipstick in Bare

bThe Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Liquid Lipstick in Bare is described as a Nude Pinky Beige. This is also a very light shade which I’m barely able to wear, but looks good overall. I think this shade would look amazing on the most fairest skintones. When applying, it sometimes looked like there was a bit of uneven spots due lighter/darker areas but it could be easily fixed with another thin layer, with the inner rim again needing a bit more attention but overall, it is still easy to do.

I have to say that the lipsticks inside the Kylie Cosmetics Send Me More Nudes Velvet Liquid Lipstick Set look extremely light on me. I was shocked to see how different it was on my lips compared to my arm swatches! It was also extremely difficult, especially for Birthday Suit to get the shade edited correctly in the close-up shots but it should be similar as to the full-face shots. The arm swatches are definitely more a “true to the tube” swatch, while my close-up and full-face shots seem different due to my light to medium (more towards medium in the Summer), which would be more of a realistic view of you have a similar skin tone as mine. Commando is my favorite of all four, Naked the least since it a bit too nude for my taste.

This is the first time that I’ve tried the Velvet Liquid Lipstick formula of the brand and so far, I really, really like it and I’m definitely impressed! Especially comparing to the extremely dry formula of the Matte version, this one feels like a breeze, very comfortable and makes my lips look smoother. Since these have a velvet finish, they don’t dry completely and are also not completely transfer-proof, but I have to say that only very little comes off and they stay put very well with only the inner rim needing some checkups from time-to-time.

The Limited Edition Kylie Cosmetics Send Me More Nudes Velvet Liquid Lipstick Set is available for $45 USD at KylieCosmetics.com (excluding shipping to the Netherlands and possible extra (customs) taxes, check Xe.com for the current price in Euro). The shades are currently sold out but will probably be restocked frequently. I would suggest to keep a close eye out on the Kylie Cosmetics Instagram page for updates on restocking dates/times.

Hey, I live in the Netherlands as well and I am curious – how much did you pay for custom charges? I don’t know Dutch and I don’t have any idea about the regulations here and that always stopped me from ordering Kylie products. xx

Hi Teddy, you have a chance to be charged with customs taxes when you buy a product outside the EU that is worth above ~22 Euro. The taxes are usually around 25% of the total price including shipping, so for the Kylie set, it is 45 USD + 18 Euro (I think) shipping so I think you would have to pay about 15-20 Euro in taxes. I used the package forwarding company Shipito instead. I’ve written an article about using Shipito, it’s quite old and things have changed but you can find more information on how that works, it’s much cheaper and you fill in the customs declaration yourself: http://www.thebeautynerd.nl/gadgets/usa-online-shopping-using-shipito-works/
