Lancôme Blush Subtil Review

Lancôme Blush Subtil Review

The Lancôme Blush Subtil is described as an ultra-fine, luxuriously silky powder blush that blends perfectly on the skin for a fresh and natural looking complexion. The blush is available in buildable matte, shimmering and sparkling shades with a long-lasting finish. I’m going to show you two shades of these blushes in today’s post.

Lancôme Blush Subtil Review

The Lancôme Blush Subtil comes in a black, plastic compact with a mirror and a brush. The powder is held in a rectangular pan containing 5,1 grams of product. The product looks modern and has the typical Lancôme style. I think adding a brush is still a little outdated but it feels soft and works fine. I love that the brands rose is pressed into the powder.

I’ve received the Lancôme Blush Subtil in the shades 541 Make it Pop and 271 Plaisir Unlimited, swatched above. Both powders feel really soft, are buildable and apply evenly. The blushes also have a very subtle scent of roses, which is only noticeable to me if I hold my nose really close to the pan.

541 Make it Pop

The Blush Subtil 541 Make it Pop is a coral pink shade with gold microshimmer. It is a very happy and lively shade which to me would be perfect for Spring.

271 Plaisir Unlimited

The Blush Subtil 271 Plaisir Unlimited is a bronze shade with pink and gold microshimmer. This is a beautiful shade to warm up the face, which can be perfectly used to bronze up the face during the Summer.

Here is a comparison of no blush, 541 Make it Pop and 271 Plaisir Unlimited. I’ve applied the blushes using the provided brush, which worked fine but it is difficult to diffuse and apply the product precisely using the small, flat brush. I built up the blush color strongly to really show you the shades but these can an be applied very delicately.

I really like the Lancôme Blush Subtil. Only very little product is needed for the color to show, is buildable and blends beautifully with the rest of my make-up. I would definitely suggest to carefully apply the product and build up to your desired intensity, because it is easier to build up than to diffuse and tone down the product. These blushes come in a variety of shades and finishes so if you’re looking for a high quality blush, I would suggest to see the different shades yourself in stores.
