Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Nude Review

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Nude Review

The Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Nude is the newest foundation of the brand that provides a light, second-skin coverage with a natural matte finish, lasting for up to 24 hours. The foundation is also to be water and sweat resistant with SPF19 protection. For today’s post, I’m going to review and put this foundation to the test.

The Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Nude is available in a whopping 40 shades. My shade is 03 Beige Diaphane. The foundation comes in a lightweight, plastic squeezable tube that holds 40 mL of product. Even though I usually prefer a pump, I really love this packaging. It is simple, practical, easy to travel around with and it’s very clear on the packaging what you can expect from the foundation. I also love that there is more product available in the tube compared to the average 30 mL that you usually get.

Here is a swatch of Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Nude 03 Beige Diaphane freshly applied and after it has dried. This is why I never trust swatches that are still wet which I see so often. You can’t see the true shade and finish when the foundation is still wet.

As you can see, the foundation is very thin and lightweight. This is a slightly thicker swatch, spreading the foundation normally makes it almost disappear (in a good way), that’s how thin it is.  The foundation definitely has a matte finish and like all Lancôme foundations, smells heavily like perfume.

Here is a before (skin prepped with skincare) and after using the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Nude 03 Beige Diaphane applied with a beauty sponge. I would say that it has a light coverage but can be build up if needed. Even though it has a light coverage, it evened out and covered the redness and acne scars on my skin. It definitely has a beautiful, natural matte finish that does look like a second skin.

Here is the foundation after I’ve applied the rest of my make-up. What I noticed is that the foundation does tend to settle into the lines on my forehead. It doesn’t bother me but it is definitely something to mention. Overall, the foundation really looks beautiful on my skin. The product is very lightweight so I don’t feel it on my skin.

Here is a comparison of the initial application and after about eight hours. It was a very humid day in The Netherlands so to was perfect to test the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Nude, since it is supposed to be lightweight, long-lasting, water and sweat resistant.

During Summer, my skin is usually combination normal to oily on my T-zone, which is obvious looking at the after picture. The foundation looks very shiny on my T-zone, so I don’t really see any “shine control”. It also has faded around the mouth area. The product that settled in the fine lines on my forehead looking more natural over time.

I have tried this product several times and it does last longer if the weather isn’t as warm and humid however, I don’t believe that the foundation would last for up to 24-hours. Maybe it would last that long if you don’t do anything that day and have a normal to dry skin type. If you’re oily, you probably can extend the wear-time of the foundation by powdering your face from time to time.

Even though the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Nude doesn’t last as long on me as advertised, I still am in love with the foundation. I love second-skin, light coverage foundations and this one is right up in my alley. I love the finish and to use this on a daily basis combined with a no make-up, make-up look.

If you’re searching for a light coverage, natural-looking foundation, I would highly suggest to check this one out since it has 40 shades available. It does have a decent wear time if the weather isn’t as warm and humid, and would definitely be long-lasting if you have a dry to normal skin type.

A very helpful review. Can I ask what is the lip colour you’re wearing here (after you’ve applied the rest of your makeup), as it looks lovely! 🙂
