Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso and Bella Rosa

Milani is an afforable, creulty-free make-up brand mostly known for their baked blushes. The shade Luminoso has been praised by Nikkie from Nikkietutorials as an amazing blush which suits almost any look. Nikkie is a make-up goddess to me so of course I had to have it for myself. I’ve also ordered another shade called Bella Rosa. I’m going to show you swatches of these two Milani Baked Blushes.

The blushes come in a plastic container with a transparent lid. It contains 3.5 grams of product. I packaging like this. You can immediately see the shade without having to look at the back of the product (damn you MAC lipsticks!). The packaging does feel a little bit “cheap” due to it being lightweight but it doesn’t feel flimsy at all, which is great for a drugstore type of product.

The container consists of two parts, one has the blush and the other part contains a little brush and a mirror. I don’t like using brushes that come with a product though, so I don’t use it. It is however a great product to bring with you while traveling.

On the left you see a swatch of Luminoso, on the right Bella Rosa. The blushes are finely milled, feels silky and are nicely pigmented.

This is me without any blush for comparison.

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso

Luminoso is described as a Luminous Peachy Pink Blush. The blush has a sheen with tiny specs of glitter. I personally hate too much glitter in blushes however, this is very subtle and it doesn’t really look like glitter. Instead, it gives a radiant effect. I can see why Nikkie loves this blush so much. It is such a subtle shade that gives my face more warmth and an amazing glow. I love natural looking blushes that give a more glow-from-within look. This is perfect. I love this blush and I actually love it as much as my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes, which is a huge deal since the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes are about 4 times the price of the Milani Baked Blushes.

Milani Baked Blush in Bella Rosa

Bella Rosa is a Bright Raspberry Pink Matte Blush. It isn’t like a flat matte finish, it still has a subtle glow but not as much as Luminoso. I purchased this shade because I didn’t own any blush that had a shade similar like this. I now see why because I think that this blush is a bit too much on me. I have to say that I’ve applied way more blush on my face than I would feel comfortable with to really show the color in the picture. You have to be very careful with this blush since it’s extremely pigmented. I think this shade would look better with someone who has a darker skin tone than me.

Both blushes are nicely buidable and very easy to blend. I think the quality of these blushes are equally as good in quality as a high-end blush without the expensive packaging. These Milani Baked Blushes are also Vegan, all the shades of the Baked Blushes are Vegan except for Red Vino. If you’re looking for a nice blush, definitely check out the Milani Baked Blushes. I would highly recommend Luminoso. The Milani Baked Blushes are available for € 11,50 Euro at The Makeup Spot.nl. I’m not sure how many shades exist in total but they at least sell nine different shades of these blushes.

Do you like to wear Blushes? Which kind of finish and color do you like to wear?

Ze zijn beide extreem mooi, staan je prachtig ook! Wat een mooie, warme kleuren. Goed dat de pigmentatie zo aanwezig is, alleen wel oppassen inderdaad met aanbrengen. Ken dat maar al te goed :’)
