NABLA has launched the Denude Collection for Summer 2018, consisting of a large selection of make-up products to create the most glowing, summer look. Even though it’s almost Fall, I still wanted to show you the complete collection so for today, I’m going to review and focus on the lip products of the NABLA Denude Collection.
The entire NABLA Denude Collection consists of Glow Skin Stick Highlighters and Blushes, Pressed Highlighters, Metalglam Liquid Eyeshadows, Cult Classic Lipsticks, Velvetine Lip Liners and accessories. Since the collection is too big to cover for one review, I’ve split them up into three separate reviews:
– Highlighters and Blushes
– Metalglam Liquid Eyeshadows
– Cult Classic Lipsticks and Lip Liners
The NABLA Cult Classic long-wear lipsticks (€13,90 Euro/3.2 gr each) are long-wearing, highly pigmented lipsticks for smooth and full looking lips. The lipsticks come in five different shades.
The NABLA Cult Classic Lipsticks come in a nude tube with champagne gold details. I’m not sure what the packaging is made of, but it has some weight and feels sturdy. I think they look very nice and feel expensive.
The NABLA Denude Collection also contains the Velvetine Lip Liners (€8,50 Euro/1.12 gr each) with five matching shades to pair up with the lipsticks. These lip liners are waterproof, highly pigmented and glide on smoothly with velvety finish. These pencils are made of wood and need a sharpener.
Here are swatches of all the lip products of the NABLA Denude Collection. All products have a velvety-matte finish. I think that 3/5 lip pencils and lipsticks match exactly, except for Magnolia and Jolie. With those colors, the lip pencils are slightly darker in color. And for some reason, the lip pencil is called Rosy Magnolia instead of just Magnolia.
The NABLA Velvetine Lip Liners glide on very smoothly and are even softer than the lipsticks. They are completely opaque in one swipe, transfer a tiny bit but are absolutely smudge proof after setting.
NABLA Cult Classic Lipsticks also swatch very smooth and tugs on the skin ever so slightly. These are also very pigmented and opaque, but these do transfer and smudge, which is of course expected from a regular lipstick. It has a mild vanilla type of scent but you can absolutely notice the “lipstick base smell” through it.
Since the combination performs basically the same for all the shades, I’m only going to show you lipswatches and a look with the description of the lipstick shade taken from NABLA‘s website down below and give my opinion at the end of the post.

I’m definitely a fan of the NABLA Velvetine Lip Liners, these are so easy to use and make a perfect base. I only used it on the borders of my lips but I think it would’ve been better to use on my entire lip in combination with the NABLA Cult Classic Lipsticks. I have very dry lips at the moment and although the shades look beautiful and they feel creamy and comfortable, these lipsticks cling on every dry spot and loose patches, do not look flattering and feel grainy when breaking down, which is why you need the liners completely as a base. I’m not a fan but if you still would like to purchase these lipsticks, I would only recommend using these in combination with the liners and if you don’t have very dry lips.
