Natural Radiance with Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay Products

tarte is a US based brand known for their eco-chic and cruelty-free beauty products. These products are formulated to be hypoallergenic and do not contain any parabensgluten or mineral oils. One of their collections is called Amazonian Clay, consisting of products that have Amazonian Clay as the highlighted ingredient, which helps with skin-balancing and long-lasting results. For this post, I have a selection of face products to review from the tarte Amazonian Clay Collection, which are the  tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in Park Ave PrincessAmazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Tipsy and the Amazonian Clay 12-hour  Highlighter in Sparkler.

tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in Park Ave Princess

The tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in Park Ave Princess (€32,00 Euro/9 gr) is the brands best selling bronzer. The product itself is available in the permanent range however, the one that I’ve received is Limited Edition and comes in a rose gold, collector’s-edition compact with a magnetic removable pan.

The formula of this bronzer is unscenteed, oil and talc-free, enriched with Amazonian Clay that is supposed to give as a long-lasting, pigmented wear and is easily blendable without getting patchy over time. The shade Park Ave Princess is described as a Universal Matte Bronze, which can be used to add warmth, contour, or give an all-over glow to the skin. The shade is however, not completely matte but has some kind of shimmer in there to give it a more natural glowing effect.

tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Tipsy

The tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush (€34,00 Euro/5.6 gr) is an award-winning powder blush that is according to the brand, supposed to  give a buildable blush color with no harsh lines. The blush comes in a variety of shades that I think is constantly changing. For example, I’ve received the shade Tipsy, which is not available on the tarte website or on Sephora.com, so I’m not sure if this shade will be re-released in the future or if this was a Limited Edition shade.

The compact has the same shade as the blush itself and has a small mirror. I would describe the tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Tipsy as a Coral shade. The formula is described as  a soft and silky powder, full of mineral pigments and unscented. It can be applied on the apples of the cheek and along the cheekbones for a healthy and flushed look.

tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Highlighter in Sparkler

The tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Highlighter (€31,00 Euro/5.6 gr) is a long-lasting highlighter, available in three different shades. Each shade is according to the brand, supposed to brighten the high points of the face for a buildable glow, suitable for all skin tones.

The tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Highlighter in Sparkler is described as a Rose Gold shade. Like the blush, the compact has the same shade as the product itself and has a small mirror.  The formula is infused with micro-pearlescent flecks for a natural, soft strobing effect. The product is supposed to melt into the skin so it does not cling to dry patches, flake or fade. What is mostly noticeable to me is that this product is scented. It smells like Vanilla Bean and I seriously can’t get enough of it. I constantly catch myself grabbing this highlighter just to smell it. I love scented product and this has a really beautiful and natural scent and it’s definitely the best smelling highlighter I’ve ever had.

Here are swatches of the tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in Park Ave PrincessAmazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Tipsy and the Amazonian Clay 12-hour  Highlighter in Sparkler. All the products swatch evenly and as described, have a buildable and blendable coverage.

Here is a before picture on the left and after using all the products. I used the tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in Park Ave Princess on the hollows of my cheeks blending up, on the side and top of my forehead and on the highest point of my nose, the Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Tipsy on the apples of my cheeks and the Amazonian Clay 12-hour  Highlighter in Sparkler on the top of my cheekbones, bridge of the nose and on the cupids bow.

I love all the tarte Amazonian Clay products used in the review. I think it made my skin look naturally healthy and beautiful. Each product was easy to use and just blended perfectly on my skin.

I love how the tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in Park Ave Princess warmed up and sculpted my face in a subtle way and that the Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Tipsy gave me just a slight flush of color on the cheeks. The Amazonian Clay 12-hour  Highlighter in Sparkler is extremely natural, even almost unnoticable in pictures so it’s a highlighter that can also be used on skin without any make-up as well. I think these products are great to use for every day and for anyone who loves a natural and soft make-up look that lasts the entire day.

The products of the tarte Amazonian Clay Collection are available at tartecosmetics.com and Sephora.com. Both websites ship directly to The Netherlands.
